Ferocious Will Have Us Communicating With Dinosaurs Very Soon

Ferocious

The release date for Ferocious is now set, and it looks like we will be doing much more than hunting dinosaurs in Ferocious

It looks like all of that dinosaur hunting fun might be coming to the PC a lot sooner than we thought for Ferocious. After a little bit of time since OMYOG offered up a look at the game, we are here with a release date set down by tinyBuild to get the game in our hands. Also, to have something fun to show off during the OTK Games Expo that just went down. All good fun, with Ferocious now releasing on December 4th of this year. Pretty much, next week, for those who are following along with all of these updates in real-time out there. Exciting news, along with the fact that we have a new little toy to use in the game, which could make many of these dinosaurs our friends instead of our enemies.

In addition to the release date for Ferocious, we also have a look at a new device that we will have in the game called the Dino Control Device. The DCD, for short, does pretty much what you would think it does from the name. It will allow us to communicate and then control the various dinosaurs we run into in the game. It is not specific on how long that control will last, but it does look like it could be linked to the distance from our character. It could also be linked to how long the dinosaur will last out there, as Ferocious does have us facing off with various militaries and robots in the mix too. All of which is worth it so we can ride a triceratops into battle and pit a Tyrannosaurus rex on various enemies like a trained dog. Have a look and get ready for what the game is going to give us all next week.

Ferocious — Release Date

The latest Ferocious gameplay trailer premiered at the OTK Games Expo, showing off a powerful new tool you’ll have at your disposal against the many human and non-human threats on the island – the Dino Control Device (DCD)! With the power to command dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes, the DCD can be used to attack enemies and enemy bases, track scents, infiltrate restricted areas, open doors, create new paths forward, and more.

Whether you’re trampling through foes while riding on a dino’s back or sending one out as a one-dino wrecking crew against the island’s shadowy infiltrators, the DCD provides an additional layer of strategy when firepower alone isn’t enough to get the job done. Maybe you can even convince the king of all reptiles to join your crusade…

Ready to survive the island? Here’s a taste of what to expect in Ferocious!

  • Survival Of The Fittest: Use every weapon you can get your hands on to stay alive. Pistols, shotguns, rifles, knives, and spears make up only a fraction of your arsenal. Craft weapons and gear using resources from the environment to adapt to any challenge. It’s kill or be killed, so make sure you’re the last one standing!
  • Face Off Against Dinosaurs, Mercs & Other Challenges: Shoot your way through an army of mercenaries working for Manifesto, a shadowy organization with equally hidden motivations, while taking aim at the many fierce, ravenous dinosaurs waiting to rip your throat out.
  • Stealth Or Chaos: Choose how to deal with the island’s many terrors. If you’re sneaky enough, you may be able to end a fight before your enemies realize they’re in one. But sometimes, raw firepower is the only way out of a dire situation.

OMYOG is a small team with big ambitions, and the studio can’t wait for fans to get their hands on Ferocious when it debuts on December 4.

Did you expect to be playing Ferocious by the end of next week? Will there be a timeline that we are allowed to control the various dinos out there? What other crazy things will we be able to get up to with the various dinos? Will this game ever make its way over to the consoles in the future? Let's discuss all of that and more in the comment section below. With any luck, we'll have a bit more for Ferocious in the future to share. To make sure you don't miss out on any of that, follow the site and our socials to keep as up to date as possible. Not to mention, you can interact with all of us and build the community just a little more with each interaction. All of the fun.
