Pro gamers' league signs big deal with Electronic Arts Another blow to your mom's nagging about how video games will never get you any where just flew onto the scene. EA and Major League Gaming have just penned and signed a new deal hooking up EA as a major sponsor for their gaming tournaments. Video games being adapted to comic book form is a natural fit. So it is probably not a surprise to hear that another one is coming down the line. But now, arguably Sony’s biggest franchise, will join the likes of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil. Partnering with DC and Wildstorm, Sony’s blockbuster God of War video game franchise is the inspiration for an all new 6-issue mini series. The first issue is tentatively scheduled to debut in October with a run that should last roughly until the release of God of War III in March of 2010. Last week when I was discussing the changes I would make for the upcoming Smackdown vs. Raw 2010, I got to thinking about another annual franchise that’s due to hit store shelves soon. NHL 10 is perhaps the sports game I am most excited for this year and with a North American release date of September 15th the wait has just about two months left. Of course with so little time left until release, it means that all the little things I hope and wish for probably won’t make into the final game. Guitar Hero 5 Controllers And Tracks So it is now official. I will have to buy Guitar Hero 5. All because of one of the new tracks released to the public. Here it is folks. Finally the second iPhone app, probably most waited for, has been released for World of Warcraft. The World of Warcraft mobile Armory. This wonderful app will finally allow players to view character information (gear, achievements, specs..etc), talent calculators, item browser, in-game calendars, glyphs, guild listings, arena team status and much much more. The program is incredibly fast and very easy on the eyes. Its a great way to customize talent specs and just keep an eye out on whats happening in the guild no matter where you are. Read More…
