Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Time to put another week of video games in the bag and look back at what happened this week. It was a pretty big one for a few franchises out there as Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 and The Division 2 where given the announcements and the hype for Far Cry 5 is hitting some heights. We also had a chance to see a few smaller titles get some new updates as we had more to see for A Plague Tale: Innocence and The Beast Inside this week as well. The Division It looks like The Division 2 is officially coming at us soon as we now have the announcement that The Division 2 is in the works and building from the past Fans of The Division will be glad to see that after two years of fun they are finally going to be getting The Division 2. Yes, it has been announced and heading to us at some point and from Massive Entertainment again. There is no word on when, but know that The Division 2 is definitely coming and with an upgraded version of the Snowdrop engine and with all the lessons learned from the last two years of The Division. Call Of Duty It has been officially announced that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is coming and it also looks like it will ‘revolutionize’ the Call Of Duty franchise We all knew it was coming and now we have official word that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is going to be this year's installment into the franchise. Given that Treyarch gave us the last one three years ago and that is how Activision seems to cycle the developers on the franchise, it makes perfect sense that we are heading back into the Black Ops world. The interesting part of this announcement though is the fact that we will be getting this year's Call Of Duty title a bit earlier than normal as it is already locked in for an October 12th release date for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Far Cry 5 The Season Pass content for Far Cry 5 has been further detailed and it looks like there is even more for Far Cry 5 post-launch with Far Cry Arcade If you have been hovering on that pre-order for Far Cry 5 based on what you could be getting in the Season Pass and post-launch content, then it is time to take note and get ready to choose. We now have further details on all of it from Ubisoft to help you figure out if you just want to the core experience, that and all of the extra DLC, or all of it with the free add-ons to come and keep you playing the game. I guess you could add that into the core aspect of Far Cry 5 as there will be a lot of free post-launch content, but there are gamers out there who will put the game down after they make it through the core version and then never pick it back up. South Park The next story DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole has now been set with a release date and will take us to another iconic location from South Park We now have a release date to look forward to for the next DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole. It has been a bit of time since we last heard or saw much for the game, but we know that Ubisoft will be bringing the next story bit on March 20th. Yes, this will be the first major story DLC to come to South Park and it will take us to the iconic eatery of Casa Bonita. Far Cry 5 New vignette videos for Far Cry 5’s cultist leaders have hit the web and they show off how creepy they will be and just how much mayhem they will cause in Far Cry 5 Just when you thought there was enough of Far Cry 5 already out there for us to take in before March 27th, we get a whole lot more to dive right into. In the case here, we are going mostly in on the villain side of things as Ubisoft has given us some nice new videos of the cult's leadership and just why we need to fear them in the game. Planet Of The Apes A new virtual reality game has been announced, Crisis On The Planet Of The Apes, and it aims to take us into the Planet Of The Apes story in a new way A new VR title has been announced for all of us out there with Crisis On The Planet Of The Apes coming on April 3rd for the PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive. Yes, we are getting yet another installment into the Apes franchise from Imaginati Studios, but through a VR studio FoxNext as well. Far Cry 5 Another look at the vehicles of Far Cry 5 is here and we get to see a few more of the ‘rides’ we will get to have when Far Cry 5 launches Here we go with even more for Far Cry 5 as we have yet another look at the vehicles we will be using in the game to bring down all kinds of insanity on that cult out there in Montana. We all knew it was going to be a thing as it really is part of the franchise that Ubisoft has crafted here, but we needed to have another reminder of what is going to be going on. Far Cry 5 Another look at the wildlife of Far Cry 5 is here and we get to see just how we will get to hunt them or be hunted when we dive into Far Cry 5 If there is one thing that the franchise has been known for before Far Cry 5, it is the fact that there will be some fun interactions with wildlife in the game. Assassin’s Creed The new Ancient Egypt mode for Assassin’s Creed Origins is finally here and with it comes a another mode for Assassin’s Creed Origins some have been waiting for The time has finally come and as of today we all have the Ancient Egypt Tour option in Assassin’s Creed Origins. That is at least if you already own the game as it has been released as part of a free update from Ubisoft for the game to give us all a different way to experience it all.
