by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 16th of July 2009 - 03:20 PM ]
Here it is folks. Finally the second iPhone app, probably most waited for, has been released for World of Warcraft. The World of Warcraft mobile Armory. This wonderful app will finally allow players to view character information (gear, achievements, specs..etc), talent calculators, item browser, in-game calendars, glyphs, guild listings, arena team status and much much more. The program is incredibly fast and very easy on the eyes. Its a great way to customize talent specs and just keep an eye out on whats happening in the guild no matter where you are. Read More...

Godly Art Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of July 2009 - 10:07 PM ]
God of War III Art With talks of a movie script being finalized and a novelization of the first game in the works and slated for the same time God of War III launches, it is no surprise that Sony would be a little more loose with actual game content for this power house. I mean, most of the current press has been revolving around the first game that came out ever so long ago. To help battle this, on the official God of War III website, Sony has just released a new fan kit for people to use and post all over their fan pages to show how big of fan boys/girls they are. What that means for everyone else is that there are some new screen shots and concept art for us all to look at and pine over until March of 2010. Read More...

Peggle: World of Warcraft
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 04:31 PM ]
Isn't there a add-on for Peggle to begin with? I believe there is.... *goes and log-on to his WoW account to make sure* ...yeah there is. So why is this so important? Well it's because its not an add-on but an actual game outside of World of Warcraft. 10 World of Warcraft stages for all your Peggle goodness. This includes backgrounds from Blizzard artists, compete against a friend or PC in Duel mode, Quick Play levels anytime you want to hone your Peggle skills, and add to your Peggle Master rank with super-extra-hard challenges. So today is Release Tuesday and here's a rundown of what's coming out: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince It's odd that a movie-based game comes out this early before the actual movie (the movie comes out July 15th in the US/UK and the July 29th in IMAX, it should also be noted the movie has been in the can since May of 2008) The game which semi-follows the movie which semi-follows the book will be released for (here we go) the PS2, PS3, 360, Wii, PC/Mac, DS, and PSP. WoW Turncoats On The Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of June 2009 - 04:33 PM ]
WoW Faction-Change Service in the Works When I first started playing World of Warcraft, I chose the Horde side of things. Big surprise with the Horde having undead huh? But, all of the real world people I knew who played loved the Alliance side of things for some reason. Which left me either having to worry about leveling two toons, forcing them to try Horde, or giving in and being bored with the Alliance. Didn't make it good for my continuation of the game. Things may be changing now. Read More...

ZeniMax Media Inc Acquires id Software
by Ben Brody [ Thursday, 25th of June 2009 - 06:16 AM ]
ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda, of Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls fame, has purchased id Software, of Doom, Wolfenstein, Quake, and Commander Keen fame. The move was surprising, as more people have been questioning who was going to buy Midway rather than who was going to buy id. Daily operations won't change at id Software, “No changes will be made in the operations of id Software in the development of its games. id Software will continue to operate as a studio under the direction of its founder, John Carmack.” Soothing news to those following the development of id's next AAA game, Rage. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Launch Trailer Just in case all of us gamer geeks out here have forgotten, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen comes out this week. In both theatrical release and video game release. All for the makes of us to cream our shorts with 1980'S nostalgia in a darker 21st way. Not to mention to profit off said nostalgia and fathers and older brothers forcing said nostalgia on their younger children or siblings. It's a good old American pastime. Read More...

Get Assassinated In A Hospital
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of June 2009 - 05:05 PM ]
Two New Wolfenstein Trailers Hospitals for some are just creepy places to be. People laying in "death beds," sharp medical instruments everywhere, creepy doctors or patients wandering about, and the ever draining of ones life force, money. So it makes sense that when you want to place a creepy scene or level in a game, you would choose an environment like this to give that real creep factor to the players. Raven Software, not wanting to skip on this for Wolfenstein, have placed another version of the Hospital level in a game. This time with Nazis and demonic powered soldiers. Read More...

Rumor Mill: New XBOX Console to NOT be released in 2010
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 17th of June 2009 - 02:59 AM ]
So you may have read my previous article in which 1UP reported that a new XBOX console was coming next fall. Well (more than) a few people called shenanigans. Throw Microsoft and Team XBOX into that circle now. "I think part of the excitement about this announcement is that in many ways we are delivering a next generation experience this generation. With that said, I can confirm that Natal will run on Xbox 360 so no new console investment will be necessary." says Aaron Greenberg, director of product management, in an interview with Eurogamer. by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 16th of June 2009 - 05:06 PM ]
Getting tired of all the World War games out there? I’m sure you’re not the only one, myself including. *cough*World at War*cough*. But, have you ever wonder what it would feel like being a part of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War? How about the battle of Antietam? I am sure you want to kill you want to kill a Spartan with your machine gun. Well you now can with 8 Monkey Labs newest release, Darkest of Days. At E3, I was one of the lucky few to find out about this new IP. Read More...

Rumor Mill: New XBOX Console to be released in 2010
by Ben Brody [ Sunday, 14th of June 2009 - 01:09 PM ]
You heard right, a new Microsoft console is allegedly on the horizon for Fall 2010, to coincide with Project Natal. Let the name-game begin (to reiterate myself I would prefer XBOX 4 but more on this later)1up.com is reporting on something that I touched on yesterday, a new game console. If 1up's reports are to be true, than a new Microsoft console will be released alongside Natal next year. While it won't be a new XBOX, it will be more like an update. Think DSi to DS lite or PSP Go to PSP. Read More...

Activision has unleashed Map Pack 2 for download on both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace. The pack features 4 new maps entitled Banzai, Corrosion, Sub Pens, and Shi No Numa. Banzai takes place in a jungle deep in Japanese territory. Corrosion makes use of a rundown Russian train yard as a battleground. A bombed out Japanese submarine base is the site for Sub Pens. Shi No Numa which is Japanese for ‘Zombie Swamp’ adds a third map to face down the unstoppable zombie hordes. Read More...

Project Natal
by Kevin [ Monday, 8th of June 2009 - 05:54 PM ]
You clutch the weapon, your breath short as your lungs are barely functioning. You try and remember every point of entry the enemy will come from. You can hear the echoes of their battle cries fill every precipice and crack in the walls – but you hold still and ready. To engage them fully would be suicide you think, and the only death you are willing to give allowance to is theirs. So you sit, and you wait. Each moment becoming more visceral then the last, and then you see them, and your body empties a war cry from every sinew, bone, and cell. Read More...
