Review — The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter. Is It Worth Your Time? Did it upgrade to the new engine and platform well? Here's Our Review of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter Originally The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter came out on the PC last year using the Unreal 3 Engine to extremely decent reviews. It is an interesting indie story game from The Astronauts that is more of an exploration experience and puzzle solving thing than anything you may think given the trailers but a game none the less. The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter was well received none the less and this drove the team to upgrade the game to Unreal 4 engine as well as bring it to the PS4. Read More...

A Lot Was Missed In That Assassin's Creed Syndicate Demo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new video for that Assassin's Creed Syndicate alpha demo has been released showing all of the things we may have missed in Assassin's Creed Syndicate already Yesterday we had a nice, long look at that Assassin's Creed Syndicate demo from E3. We had multiple angles and points of attack shown with all of the freedom that Ubisoft normally gives us in an Assassin's Creed title. Unbeknownst to us and apparently the play of the stream there was a whole lot more going on in the demo that some of us may have missed. Somethings environmental, some gameplay, and some just new uses for things we already know. Read More...

Here's A Bit More Assassin's Creed Syndicate In Action
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
During a live stream of Assassin's Creed Syndicate we were able to see the E3 demo of Assassin's Creed Syndicate played in a few different and exciting ways We've all seen one version of the E3 gameplay demo for Assassin's Creed Syndicate but how about the one that most of us were writing about? You know the one that the general and "non-preferred media" public of the expo were able to get their hands on. Usually that would be lost to the wind as Ubisoft pushes on with all of the newer stuff for Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Thankfully for those who wanted to see and experience the floor demo it looks like it was shown off here recently during a live stream event and captured for us all. Read More...

Review — Tales From The Borderlands: Catch A Ride
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Tales From The Borderlands — Catch A Ride. This is the third episode of Telltale's take on Gearbox's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did It is a long cycle for new episodes of Tales From The Borderlands to be released but we've had the third episode of the series released and I've finally had the time to sit down and give the extra story bit a play through. I mean the second episode of Tales From The Borderlands landed in March and this one landed near the end of June. At least there wasn't a delay between all of the platforms here and everyone who has a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Gaming PC were able to play through the next bit. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/13/15 — 7/17/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2015 - 11:10 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's been an intense last few weeks in video games and the news and I'm sorry we've missed a few recaps for the week. I blame E3 and SDCC for being so closely crammed together and there being so many new video games and experiences to have to cover. We are small but we are mighty when it comes to covering our video games. If we weren't you wouldn't have had those track listings for both Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live to go through here. The Undead Finally Come In Game Of Thrones — Ep. 5: A Nest Of Vipers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Game Of Thrones has been released as well as the release date for Game Of Thrones — Episode 5: 'A Nest Of Vipers' That seemed like the shortest wait ever for the new episode of Game Of Thrones here as it looks like episode 5, A Nest Of Vipers, is releasing net week on all of the platforms the game is on. Of course this means that the PC, Mac, PS3, and PS4 version will be July 21st (Amazing day) and the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions on July 22nd. All of which in normal Telltale Games manner. God Of War III Remastered Is Now Out & Kratos Is Destroying The PS4 Gods
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
God Of War III Remastered has launched today and we have a nice, new trailer to show off how we all could be experiencing God Of War III on the PS4 The date has come and God Of War III Remastered is finally here for all of us who want to play the game on the PS4. It could the first time or it could be the 30th time but none the less God Of War III is now on the PS4 and remastered to 1080p and 60fps by Wholesale Algorithms for Sony Santa Monica. It has all the bells and whistles we remember from the first version just made all pretty for the next gen system as we all wait for God Of War IV or some other iteration to be created as teased by Cory Barlog at the PSX event last year. I guess it will be HD remasters until then. Read More...

Have A Look At The New Zombies For Call Of Duty: Black Ops III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
At SDCC 2015 the new Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies mode was shown off to the world as well as one 'giant' map for Black Ops III's new zombie mode It is no surprise that Zombies was coming back to Call Of Duty: Black Ops III at all. Treyarch and Activision have been pretty forth coming with that news. What they haven't been so forthcoming with would be the visuals and the details for what we can expect to experience in Black Ops III's zombie mode. As you should expect though, as this would be pointless if it wasn't the case, that was until this year's SDCC where they had a whole lot to show off for the mode on the PS4 version of Call Of Duty: Black Ops III and we have some to show you now. Let's Compare More God Of War III Remastered To The Original
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2015 - 06:59 PM ]
If you needed more reasons to give God Of War III Remastered a go then we have it being compared side by side with God Of War III God Of War III Remastered is on the verge of launching on the PS4 to capture the hearts of all those new gamers who have not been able to play the game yet. I'm talking July 14th for those that haven't been keeping up with the times. Sony Santa Monica has taken great care to make sure we can have this PS3 title on the PS4 so we should all be getting excited. It is only the ending of sorts to the franchise's story (so far) and we need to make sure that everyone gets to play that on the PS4 even if they have yet to play the first God Of War titles not native to the PS4 just yet. The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter Is Appearing On PS4 Real Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Looks like the wait is over as the PS4 version of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter is slated for a July 15th release date now Hopefully by now all of you reading this know about The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter as it released on PC last year and was well received by many. This would be that amazing looking supernatural adventure title created by The Astronauts that even we spoke highly of back in the day. This was also back when we heard it was being redone in the Unreal 4 engine and also getting a PS4 release scheduled but there was never any word on when after all the great reviews began pouring in for the first release of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter. All of that changes now. Read More...

Time For A Bit More Story On Tom Clancy's The Division
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of July 2015 - 04:59 PM ]
We've seen a lot of gameplay for Tom Clancy's The Division but only a bit of story but thankfully here is a bit more on that for The Division There are a lot of people out there excited for The Division to finally launch on March 8th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I know I am excited to see if the visual quality is upheld by Ubisoft or just upgraded for E3 demos and such. I also know that a lot of people flipped over The Division after seeing the new gameplay at E3. Maybe not on my social accounts but it was all the buzz around the booths on the show floor. The Assassin's Creed Experience Is Returning For SDCC 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Just in case you couldn't prove your Assassin's Creed merit at last year's SDCC Assassin's Creed Experience, the event is returning and coming with a new Victorian London vibe If there is one great way to promote an Assassin's Creed title it was definitely the Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC last year. Sadly though if you were not able to attend San Diego Comic Con or you didn't want to stand in the long line for a short experience that was the only way to experience it. If you want another chance though it looks like the Assassin's Creed Experience is returning again and this time it has the Assassin's Creed Syndicate makeover added into the mix with this time ending in a Leap Of Faith out of the Tower Of London. Rumor Mill: A Rise Of The Tomb Raider PS4 Release Window Announced?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new rumor has been cropped up around Rise Of The Tomb Raider from the guys over at The Know placing Rise Of The Tomb Raider's PS4 launch in late 2016 Nothing gets the morning juices flowing like a good old fashioned rumor and this one here is for Rise Of The Tomb Raider. This time it is all over the release date for the game. No, not the already announced release date of November 10th that Crystal Dynamics is aiming to hit for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the game but about when we might be seeing Rise Of The Tomb Raider on the PS4. I'm also guessing that this would also cover the PS3 version of the game as I am sure that Square Enix wouldn't want to miss out on the funds and whole other platform to market too. Read More...

E3 2015 Hands On — Assassin's Creed Syndicate
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Was Able To See Assassin's Creed Syndicate In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Another year and another Assassin's Creed and this year it is Assassin's Creed Syndicate for only the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It looks like Ubisoft is moving right along with jumping into the next/current gen hardware and they are bringing with it some new features for the franchise. Quite a few new features given the fact that Assassin's Creed Syndicate takes place in an era were the traditional warfare and weapons used to fight the Templar would get one arrested before walking out the door of their home. At least more so then given all of the advancement that the human race has made. Read More...

E3 2015 Hands On — Call Of Duty: Black Ops III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of June 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Was Able To See Call Of Duty: Black Ops III In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It If there was one title that always has lines around the booth it is Call Of Duty and that was no different for Call Of Duty: Black Ops III as Treyarch was on the scene to give all of us gamers out there a great taste of things to come this November 6th on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Well at least some of the things to come in terms of the multiplayer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops III as the campaign mode was better guarded this E3 than any other in the past. None the less we got to take the game for a spin in a nice dark room filled with allies and enemies to give the new stuff just for Call Of Duty: Black Ops III. Read More...
