Insomniac Games Sure Knows How To Celebrate 20 Years In Business
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of March 2014 - 05:01 PM ]
Insomniac Games is celebrating their 20th anniversary in a grunge style tribute music video. With all of the closures and layoffs that have been all over the news in the last few months it is reassuring to hear that Insomniac Games has made it 20 years running now. Yea, it's crazy to think that we got Disruptor and Spyro just about twenty years ago. Hells, it is crazy to think that 1994 is just about twenty years ago. Don't we all feel a bit old now? New Batman: Arkham Knight Screen Shot Showing Off The In-Game Bat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of March 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new screen shot for Batman: Arkham Knight has eked out with a few new gameplay mechanics. Let's dig in. We got a look at a couple of the baddies for Batman: Arkham Knight last week so it is high time we get a look at an in-game shot of the titular character, right? Of course it is and if you look a bit lower you can see said in-game view of Batman next to the Batmobile complete with J.J. Abrams lens flair effects. Read More...

The Forest Looks Like An Awesome VR Version Of Don't Starve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer and screen shots for a PC/Oculus Rift title called The Forest have come from the mist. It really reminds me of Don't Starve… Sometimes it really bothers that I miss other amazing looking games like The Forest while covering other titles out there. I am sure it happens all the time as I am just one entity and there is so much going on the wide world of gaming. But I caught it and now it is time to bring you all what I have found and how exciting it looks. So, let us take a look at The Forest. Read More...

Just In Case You Forgot BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea — Ep 2 Is Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
We have the launch trailer for BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea — Episode Two to celebrate its launch and end of a company. With everything going on as of late for Irrational and 2K I almost forgot that BioShock Infinite: Burial At Sea — Episode Two was on the verge of launching. Or actually launching today depending on the platform that tickles your fancy. I believe it is only the Xbox that has to wait another day but I could be a bit off. Either way, it is a good thing that 2K decided to remind us all with a very creepy and cool trailer for the last DLC from Irrational Games. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 3/17/14 — 3/21/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of March 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. Talk about an exciting week in gaming. It was to be expected given the fact that GDC was happening this week and I feel bad that we couldn't cover every aspect of gaming in the news here. At least we covered quite a bit on the VR that was all the rage, including Project Morpheus from Sony. We also got to hear about a rumored Assassin's Creed title that was later officially announced as Assassin's Creed Unity. On top of that it looks like we are also getting a new version of Gauntlet too. Read More...

Let's Get To Know Our Villains Of Batman: Arkham Knight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of March 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Some new information on a few villains from Batman: Arkham Knight have been let out of the Batputer. Including The Riddler. Earlier this week Game Informer conducted and interview with some of the people behind the art of Batman: Arkham Knight. David Hego (art director) and Albert Feliu (lead character artist) to be exact. These two talented men also give a bit of insight into what is going on with each character mixed in with how the art style will be reflected. Here's a quick recounting of it all. Read More...

Look What Just Got Unburied For Murdered: Soul Suspect
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Murdered: Soul Suspect has been released. It shows some new game locations as well as a Limited Edition of the game. I will have to be honest here with Murdered: Soul Suspect. I completely though that we were only going to be playing through the same three scenes and locations given what we have been shown in the past. It all looked like the main crime scene, the house it happened in and maybe a cemetery and that was about it. The bellow new trailer is all about quite a few other locations with little in the way of what we have already been shown for Murdered: Soul Suspect. Read More...

New Wolfenstien: The New Order Trailer Puts Us On The Train To Berlin
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Wolfenstien: The New Order has been released showcasing the train scene we've seen a few times. Also there is a bit behind the person who wrote the scene. Using the word new in the headline here seems a bit odd as we have seen this bit from Wolfenstien: The New Order a few times already. I am talking about the train scene with Frau Engel and here 'lover' Bubi. You know; the one where they conduct the 'test' on BJ in some form of a twisted game that we all know Nazis loved doing. Classic Arcade Game Gauntlet Is Getting A Remake This Summer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The classic arcade, button mashing game Gauntlet is getting a 2014 remake this summer. We have the announcement trailer and everything. Some of you may be too young to remember Gauntlet in classic arcades. Hells, you may be too young to remember classic arcades as well. I do and Warner Bros hopes that some of our readers will as well because that is one of the things they are trying to capitalize on with Gauntlet. For those who still have no clue and haven't Googled the game yet let me break it down. In a nut shell Gauntlet was an insanely fun fantasy hack and slash title from Atari in the 80's. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 3/10/14 — 3/14/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of March 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This has really been the week of reviews in gaming hasn't it? We reviewed Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2, The Walking Dead — S2E2, South Park: The Stick Of Truth, and Race The Sun. There are still more in the pipe at that but it has been one crazy week of reviews for all of you to ingest and get our informed opinion about the games that matter right now. Reviews aside, there have been some interesting developments for Mirror's Edge 2 and Tales From The Borderlands at that. I still can't believe that there is a rumor that ME2 is going to reboot the entire franchise yet still carry the numbered title. Read More...

Game Rentals On The PSN And Not Through PlayStation Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
It appears that there is a rental option on the PSN now and we are not talking about the PlayStation Now service. Back in January we first heard about PlayStation Now and about how we would be able to rent games or have a Netflix style service for our PS3's and PS4's. What we are talking about here is not the PlayStation Now service at all. In fact it was something that was randomly found and reported via twitter. Also it is only for one current title on the PSN. Review: The Walking Dead: Season 2 — A House Divided
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of March 2014 - 05:02 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - A House Divided. It's The Second Episode. Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? The short wait is over and it is time to continue where Episode One left our little group of survivors in the middle of the end of times. There is a lot going on this time around as the 'villain' of the season has been presented and taken a leading role. Here we go with a hopefully spoiler free review of this episode. Should you be downloading and playing through it right now even with all of the other great titles out? Read More...

There Is A New Trailer For SOMA And I Am Still Lost…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
A new trailer for SOMA, A PS4 and PC horror title, has been released to the public showcasing a few environments and voice work. Quite a while ago I brought you a look at SOMA in the form of a teaser trailer. It was bizarre, beautiful, and showed the sense of fear that Frictional Games has been known to bring all of us gamers in the past. Now we have a new trailer titled Theta from them to hopefully shed a little more light on what SOMA is all about. At least in terms of more than just another horror title coming out for PS4 and PC in 2015. Read More...
