The Interview Is Up On Xbox Video But Not Video Unlimited…Smart Move
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
You can now watch The Interview on Xbox Video and other services but not Sony's own video unlimited… yet… While not directly video game news, The Interview being placed on our gaming systems for streaming could lead to some gaming outages in the coming days. What I am talking about here is that Sony has decided to let the film stream on YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Video as of this writing. There are plans to let it go to other platforms, including Video Unlimited on the PlayStation Network but those plans are supposedly coming shortly. This is either a stoke of marketing genius or nothing is going to happen but people seeing The Interview. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 12/15/14 — 12/19/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 20th of December 2014 - 12:03 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games While others are letting the news for video games fall to the side lines or into the wastes, we are hard at work keep it all flowing for you. We're going to be spending a lot more time here with our video games here in short time so we need to keep up to date with what will be coming once we have no time to play them all again. Isn't this industry nice? With Evolve, Dying Light, and the Call Of Duty DLC coming you need to be reminded while trying to still enjoy #killallzombies or Grand Theft Auto V right? Read More...

Grand Theft Auto V Online Is Getting Festive Without Heists
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Grand Theft Auto V Online still has no Heists but you will be able to have epic snowball fights while wearing ugly sweaters While we are still waiting for our Heists in Grand Theft Auto V Online it looks like Rockstar is at least giving us a few new things to bring us back into the game over the holidays. Today the developer announced that they are rolling out some fun updates for Grand Theft Auto V Online with a bunch of Festive Surprises. We can hope it will be a sneaking way to add in the mode we've been waiting forever to get into the online experience but as of right now it is nowhere listed among the additions and timed exclusives we will be seeing over the holidays in Grand Theft Auto V Online. Heists Are Still Coming To Grand Theft Auto V Online
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V Online confirms that Heists are still on the way for the online experience If you were looking to be able to play Heists online for Grand Theft Auto V you may need to wait just a bit longer. I know we've all been waiting almost a year or so but at least we have confirmation that Rockstar North is still trying to get the mode into Grand Theft Auto V Online for us all…for free. We can't really complain about something that is free can we? Well of course we can but it really is a douchey move when all is said and done. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Mortal Kombat X In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. I Was Able Beat People To Death. Here's What I Thought Of The Game There was no new character for Mortal Kombat X announced nor was there an exclusive character just for the PS3/PS4 mentioned at the PlayStation Experience but the latest build was available for us all to play. This included all characters, levels, variations, and moves that have been seen up until the Quan Chi announcement. That was a hefty bit if I do say so but it was well under 50% of what it looks like we will be getting in the final version of Mortal Kombat X. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Apotheon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Apotheon; A Side Scrolling Title That Lets You Play As The Greeks Told Stories Apotheon was a title I heard about via the PlayStation Blog and something that piqued my interest from the start. In all honesty it has been the visual style of the game as well as the premise that Alien Trap is going for with this little PC/PS4 title coming out next year. It was these things that forced me to track the team down at the PlayStation Experience and actually get Apotheon in my hands to give it the really godly test as I should. There is a whole level dedicated to my main man after all. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — The Order: 1886
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See The Order: 1886 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. Here's My Take On The Victorian Age Shooter Coming To PS4 Next Year Only a few months now until The Order: 1886 releases at is shocks me that it has taken this long to get my hands on the game. Well if you negate the fact that the average wait time to play the demo at the PlayStation Experience was about three and a half hours then it may not be as shocking. Luckily for me, and in turn you, I was able to bypass the long wait (by rushing to the booth first thing) and was able to get my hands on the public demo and the press demo that Ready At Dawn and Santa Monica Studios brought to the PSX. This Week In Video Games 12/1/14 — 12/5/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 6th of December 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games While technically this posting is a wrap up for what happened in the work week for video games, there is so much going on over the weekend that I'm going to use it for a springboard to cover The Game Awards and the PlayStation Experience that will be kicking off shortly after you have finished reading what I am typing here. You may also have a bit of time to dig into some of the other gaming news we've had on the site over the week as well. If nothing else you can at least read through our review for Game Of Thrones — Iron From Ice while waiting or getting set up to watch the re-broadcasts of whatever you may want to see this weekend. Godzilla Is Coming To Wreck The Game Awards
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Looks like Godzilla is going to have a showing at the Game Awards as well as a possible North American release for the PS3 title Laugh all you want but it looks like Godzilla will be making and official showing in Las Vegas, NV. I'm of course talking about the game and not the king of the monsters or any of his adversaries. Even in the most recent film for Godzilla the beast never actually stepped foot in the city but it looks like he has changed his mind about destroying Sin City. I think that is enough joshing around. This Week In Video Games 11/24/14 — 11/28/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 29th of November 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games The biggest take away for this week in video games would have to be Evolve, Reviews, and Telltale. When you look at the list of what we were able to cover this week in video games then it should be easy for you to see just about that. There were a few deviations from that list of items there but with American Thanksgiving and Black Friday causing so many hiccups in the news streams not many other developers and publishers had much in the way of news and updates for their titles. I am sure that will not be the case for the next few weeks given what is coming up in the world of video games. Read More...

Looks Like We Have The Evil Within — The Movie
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of November 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A YouTuber has taken the time and care to pull all of the cut scenes and gameplay from The Evil Within to edit out a nice feature length horror film for us all The Evil Within was slated to bring us the most terrifying experience in video games to date. Some would claim that Bethesda and Tango Gameworks fell a bit short on that promise. For every one of those naysayers out there though there is at least one other gamer who has yet to try and make it through the whole game out of fear. I know at least three personal. Read More...

Review: Grand Theft Auto V [Next Gen]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Grand Theft Auto V. It did well when it was first released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 but how does the PS4 and Xbox One handle it? Here's our review It's been just a year in the making and now we have Grand Theft Auto V for the next gen consoles. It has a few bells and whistles added on as well as visual upgrades but is it really worth the price of admission to play something many fans have been playing for a while now? Did we really need some of these upgrades and do they make the next gen version of Grand Theft Auto V a must have purchase for those who have yet to experience the game? For that matter does it garner the attention of those who have yet to have picked up Grand Theft Auto V yet? Read More...

Review: Tales From The Borderlands — Zer0 Sum
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Tales From The Borderlands — Zer0 Sum. This is the first episode of Telltale's take on Gearbox's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did The first episode and debut of Tales From The Borderlands is now here. This has been one of those most talked about titles and fans of the Borderlands franchise have been questioning its worth since the first announcement about a year ago. This is a huge franchise with a lot of rabid fans so Telltale had their work cut out to make Gearbox's franchise prosper in a non-FPS way. Did they hit the nail on the head or is this just another QTE sit and watch a predictable plot. Read More...
