Review: The Walking Dead Season 2 - All That Remains
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of January 2014 - 06:38 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - All That Remains. It's The First Episode But Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? I've finally had time to digest the events of the first episode of the second season of The Walking Dead from Telltale. It's been over a year coming and we now get to see what happens to the adorable little Clementine and the survivors of the previous season even though those numbers were running pretty low at the end. So let's jump in and see if the wait was worth it. If there seems to be description missing that is due to trying to keep this as spoiler free as possible. Read More...

The Walking Dead Season 2 Is Finally Launching And Launching Today For Most. Let's See What Telltale Has For Us. If there was one game that captures so many over the last two years it has been The Walking Dead from Telltale. Hard to believe it has been that long since we were first introduced to Clementine and Lee isn't it? It has been though and now we are moving into the second season of the The Walking Dead franchise and for most of us gamers out there that day is today. Don't get too worried by me saying for most of us and not all just yet though. Read More...

We Sit Down And Review The PlayStation 4. What Are Its Faults? Where Does It Shine? Find Out What We Think. The time has come and the PlayStation 4 has now hit North America and Europe. This also means that I have had a few weeks to dig into the system and put it through some real gaming testing. Not only gaming, but all of the other features that we should be getting with the PlayStation 4 to make it the console that drives your home entertainment. So sit back and have a fun read to see if you should sprint out and pick up this system. Hated Ok, so where did all of my features go that I loved with video playing? Read More...

The Last Of Us Is Not Leaving Behind The DLC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of November 2013 - 07:08 PM ]
A New Story DLC Pack Has Been Announced For The Last Of Us Titled Left Behind. Check Out The Trailer If you have not played The Last Of Us yet or at least made it about half way through I would recommend not reading much more or even watching the clip below as it does link up to one of my favorite parts of Ellie's past. That part being where she talks about how she survived with her friend only to have her friend get infected and forcing Ellie to go solo. While there isn't much detail on what we will be getting in this new DLC I think with what is shown below we can assume it has much to do with this part of her past. Read More...

The PlayStation 4 Red Line Issue And A Possible Fix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of November 2013 - 10:49 PM ]
The PlayStation 4 Has Had Reports Of An Overheating Issue Leading To The 'Red Line Of Death'. Here Is A Possible Fix For You So the PlayStation 4 has only been officially out in North America for a few days. I, like many other excited gamers, spent many hours tooling around in the system, playing games, and watching videos. Fortunately for myself I have yet to run into any of the issues that seem to have been reported all over the internet the last few days. The bricking 'Blue Pulse Of Death' and the 'Red Line Of Death' seem to be the most common in the mix. Read More...

Check Out Some Intense Combat In Ryse Son Of Rome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of November 2013 - 11:29 PM ]
A New Trailer For Ryse Son Of Rome Shows Off How Crazy And Intense The Combat System Is Going To Be Last time I took a look at Ryse Son Of Rome I made a bunch of comparisons to GoW in the terms of looks and story. It is such an easy jump between the two. Now we are getting a new look at the combat and gameplay of the game and comparisons be damned, Ryse Son Of Rome's combat is now a huge selling point for me. If you are still on the fence take a look below and see what I am talking about. If you are curious before watching the trailer it looks like the combat for Ryse Son Of Rome has taken some of the better parts of the Arkham games mixed with the brutality of GoW. Read More...

Season 2 Of Nuka Break Has Exploded Onto The Webs
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of October 2013 - 06:40 PM ]
Fallout Nuka Break Season 2 Is Now Live Online To Binge Watch It has almost been two years since we last got a full episode of Wayside Creations' Fallout Nuka Break. Hard to believe, I know. I was shocked to find that out, but not as shocked and excited as I was to see that all six of the new episodes have gone live and available for viewing below. If you are not familiar with the Fallout Nuka Break web series, it is a must to go back and watch or re-watch the series. If that takes up too much time then I can give you a quick break down but you have no idea the disservice you are doing to yourself by not taking the time. Read More...

Clementine Looks All Grown Up For The Walking Dead Season 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of October 2013 - 10:21 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season 2 Gets Its First Trailer We've all probably played through Telltale's The Walking Dead at least three times now. That is the minimum I have heard from most of my associates any ways. One of the burning questions since the story came to its conclusion has been 'when is season 2 coming out?' Well, we still don't know but it has to be close now as we finally got something out of Telltale. It's a teaser more than anything, but if you glance below you can see the official reveal trailer for The Walking Dead's second season. Read More...

Do These Screen Shots From The Order 1886 Impress You Still?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of October 2013 - 05:29 PM ]
Check out the new screen shots and concept art for The Order 1886 It's been a little bit since we had anything new from The Order 1886. Last I remember was a bit of gameplay out of Gamescom and before that the announcement at E3 so it's high time we get something new to look at. I'd prefer a bit more on how the game mechanics work or at the very least some more on the game's story, but I guess we'll have to settle for some screen shots and some concept work for the protagonists of the game. Grasping at what we can so be just as glad as I am. Alright, so from the looks of it, there isn't too much more to glean from things. Read More...

PlayStation 4 Is Getting Real Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of October 2013 - 09:52 PM ]
The PlayStation 4 is even closer to launch now, it's creeping up so fast, and there are already talks about a day one update for the firmware. Not too concerning there as I am sure all of the systems that are being shipped out have been packaged up for a little bit now and the software should be an ever-evolving beast. That's not the main topic here. The main topic is that with the launch coming up one of the 'new' features that we will be allowed to use with the PSN on the PlayStation 4 is the ability to display our real names instead of our gamer handle. Story Time: Killzone Shadow Fall
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of October 2013 - 05:11 PM ]
Here we go with yet another Story Time for and upcoming title. This time we have Killzone Shadow Fall coming for the PS4 here in the next few weeks. Just a small title that is being touted as the Resistance for this generation. As an F.Y.I. Resistance was pretty much the only launch title for the PS3 that was worth the money paid to pick it up. Hopefully this rumor or statement is just along the lines of 'this will be one of the best FPS titles that will be out for launch on the PS4' and not just the best title for launch. Anyways, let's dig into the story of Killzone Shadow Fall with the trailer. Read More...

Story Time: Ryse: Son of Rome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of October 2013 - 05:27 PM ]
Ryse: Son of Rome is one of the upcoming launch titles for the Xbox One. Now that we are a month out from the launch of both the console and game let's take a look at the overall story of the game. Luckily for us it seems that Crytek was gracious enough to give us a nice little story trailer so we can get to know Damocles. Grab yourself a boar's leg, a glass of vino, and a comfortable seat to hear the tale of this great fallen warrior. So there is the basic overall story of Ryse: Son of Rome's Damocles. Read More...

Let's Look At Frictional Games' New Title, SOMA
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of October 2013 - 05:31 PM ]
If you like to hear about titles well in advance then do I have a title for you; SOMA. SOMA is the latest title to be announced from Frictional Games (Amnesia and Penumbra) and is slated for Windows, Mac, Linux, and PS4. It also happens to have a release window of…2015. If I had to throw a month out there I would probably go with October as this is survival horror title, but there is no real foundation in that. It is just me hypothesizing. So what is SOMA? Review: Beyond: Two Souls
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of October 2013 - 09:10 PM ]
Beyond: Two Souls has finally come out and worked its way into our gaming world. If you've been hiding under a rock and just stumbled upon this review by accident, this is the new title written and directed by David Cage of Heavy Rain fame. Quantic Dream being the developer in case you are in from that angle. Either way, in case you are on the fence about giving Beyond: Two Souls a play or a purchase, I am here again to help you make an informed-ish decision. The Story This is a story about a girl, Ellen Page Jodie Holmes, who is 'different' and refuses to use lip balm that also happens to have been born with an 'entity' or ghost attached to her.
