Here's The First Bit Of PlayStation Plus Content For 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Wait no longer as here are the free games coming to PlayStation Plus January 2015. Happy New Year to us all Just like that blasted Christmas week we are back to scraping the bottom of the barrel for news and here we have the free games for PlayStation Plus in 2015. The New Year's week is just as bad as ever for any hard hitting news and updates for the video game world. It sucks but at least you have us here to try and keep you informed as much as we can and this time it is for all of you playing the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita as long as Sony can keep the PSN up and running. But that is a whole different issue now. Read More...

A Not So Silent Night For The Order 1886
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Another Christmas themed trailer for The Order 1886 but it isn't all holiday mumbo jumbo with a bit of added gameplay Technically this new trailer for The Order 1886 should have fallen under the Christmas and Holiday well wishes list we had earlier. It isn't for a few reasons. One, Ready At Dawn added more to this trailer for The Order 1886 than just a bit of holiday fun and two we needed more to fluff with as everyone shuts down during this time making it harder and harder for us to keep you fully entertained. Especially since there are ass hats out there who want to keep you from playing your games with your families. I won't give them more than a few bits of recognition that I already have so back to The Order 1886. Read More...

Brawl Has An Update From Bloober Team…With Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 08:05 PM ]
Brawl, the re-built Basement Crawl, has an updated trailer for us to show how the developer has improved the PS4 title outside of changing the name Remember Basement Crawl from earlier this year? The creepy take on Bomberman… No? Well that makes sense as it was a title so poorly built that the developer Bloober Team asked everyone not to review it until the issues were fixed. Then the game was scrapped and re-branded as Brawl. Sounds more or less like they just shortened the title to combine the original title just as this version of the game contains the same core gameplay of Basement Crawl. Read More...

Time For A Naughty Dog History Lesson
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Naughty Dog is celebrating their 30th anniversary and the developer and PlayStation have a nice video to help educate you on where they came from If you just thought to yourself "I don't need a history lesson for Naughty Dog" then you are most likely the largest fan of the developer or you're an employee of theirs. They have had a long 30 year run that has been pushed and promoted pretty much all year. Now we get it pushed again as we have a nice long history lesson that shows you a 50 minute recap of where Naughty Dog started and are going here in the coming years. Read More...

#killallzombies Adds More Zombies & Ways To Kill Them
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
There has been a content update for #killallzombies that adds in a few more weapons, Twitch commands, and new zombosses for the PS4 It's a rare thing when a game like #killallzombies captures my eye and truly keeps me coming back into the mix to do just what the game's title states. I was thrilled with the original idea that Beatshapers threw out there. I thought it would be a title that I played a little bit, generally enough for a full review, and then never pick up again. #killallzombies has proven me wrong as it is one of the few titles I drift back to when I don't have to keep covering all of the other games that keep coming out. Let's Talk About Uncharted 4: A Thief's End & The Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End had some new gameplay shown off during the PlayStation Experience so let us talk about it and where we think Naughty Dog is at with the game By now any and all fans of Uncharted should have seen the latest Uncharted 4: A Thief's End gameplay trailer. It is how the PlayStation Experience opened and it has been kind of the talk of the town ever since. More so since it was one of the few PS4 games that fans at the event were not able to get directly hands on with after the keynote. Naughty Dog didn't seem to let me down but it did seem to cause many people to call afoul based on the NOT ACTUAL GAMEPLAY trailer from E3. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Resident Evil Revelations 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Resident Evil Revelations 2 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. It is coming out here in a few months but is it going to be worth our time and money We've had the release date for the first episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 already but we've yet to have a whole lot of time to have hands on with how this new game will handle. Luckily it was on the floor of PlayStation Experience for all of us to give a quick run through of what we've seen time and time again already. I was lucky enough to wait to get a chance to see if Resident Evil Revelations 2 is going to be more like the current versions of the franchise or if it really does go back its root or more along with Resident Evil 4. We Had A Quiet God Of War Announcement Happen Recently
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
During the God Of War retrospective panel at the PlayStation Experience Cory Barlog let loose that a new title was in the works, only very quietly Looks like there is a new God Of War title in the works according to Cory Barlog. During the PlayStation Experience there was a nifty panel that took place in the form of a God Of War retrospective. Pretty much it was a celebration and fun event for all fans of the franchise to relive the fun and talk to some of the minds behind the famed franchise. I unfortunately missed out on it while I was previewing the father of God Of War's new IP Drawn To Death. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Bloodborne In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. I Gave The Game A Go Via Two Different Hunters To Make Sure I Didn't Miss Anything… Up until the PlayStation Experience my time with Bloodborne has been only in the way of trailers or watching one of the developers try to show off the game. If you've been following my drivel since Bloodborne was announced then you will know that I have been nothing but unenthused about the game. That is why I decided to give it the old college try and see if this PS4 exclusive was going to be able to capture my love with actual hands on. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Mortal Kombat X In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. I Was Able Beat People To Death. Here's What I Thought Of The Game There was no new character for Mortal Kombat X announced nor was there an exclusive character just for the PS3/PS4 mentioned at the PlayStation Experience but the latest build was available for us all to play. This included all characters, levels, variations, and moves that have been seen up until the Quan Chi announcement. That was a hefty bit if I do say so but it was well under 50% of what it looks like we will be getting in the final version of Mortal Kombat X. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Apotheon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Apotheon; A Side Scrolling Title That Lets You Play As The Greeks Told Stories Apotheon was a title I heard about via the PlayStation Blog and something that piqued my interest from the start. In all honesty it has been the visual style of the game as well as the premise that Alien Trap is going for with this little PC/PS4 title coming out next year. It was these things that forced me to track the team down at the PlayStation Experience and actually get Apotheon in my hands to give it the really godly test as I should. There is a whole level dedicated to my main man after all. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Amplitude
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Amplitude; A Reboot Of The Famed Harmonix Game Of Yore We all wanted Amplitude and we all are getting Amplitude for the PS3 and PS4 thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign for the game. This is one of the first Harmonix titles I ever became addicted to and I am glad to see the legacy may be living on. In fact I was one of the lucky people who were able to take Amplitude for a spin in its current stat at the PlayStation Experience. Just in case you were not so lucky let me break it down for you on how the game as progressed up until now. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes; An Interesting Bomb Disposal Title Coming For The Project Morpheus Project Morpheus was on the show floor for the PlayStation Experience. It had a bunch of different tech demos and early games to help show off how cool the tech could be but one game that got a lot more buzz than anything was Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes. Given the demand of the Morpheus at the PSX the line was doubly huge for Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes but I had a chance to sit down and give this cool bomb disposal virtual reality title a few play throughs. Most were on beginner but I did get a chance to play the higher difficulty. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — The Order: 1886
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See The Order: 1886 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. Here's My Take On The Victorian Age Shooter Coming To PS4 Next Year Only a few months now until The Order: 1886 releases at is shocks me that it has taken this long to get my hands on the game. Well if you negate the fact that the average wait time to play the demo at the PlayStation Experience was about three and a half hours then it may not be as shocking. Luckily for me, and in turn you, I was able to bypass the long wait (by rushing to the booth first thing) and was able to get my hands on the public demo and the press demo that Ready At Dawn and Santa Monica Studios brought to the PSX.
