The Secret World's Monster Blog
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of February 2010 - 05:22 PM ]
God I love viral marketing. Especially the kind of viral marketing that draws you in deeper and deeper to find out very little about what is being advertised. Or at least when the details are so cryptic you don't get much out of it, but still want more. Something that Funcom has been doing for almost a year now with The Secret World. Just "dug up" on the great internets is a blog that shows it has been running since November of last year. A blog run by a "conspiracy theorist" showing images of creatures that are wandering around in the sleepy little town of Kingsmouth. Read More...

See Why Sam Fisher Is Back In Splinter Cell Conviction
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of February 2010 - 12:20 PM ]
Seeing how Ubisoft has built Sam Fisher's new character model, it looks as if he has gone the Danny Glover way of things and finally said, "I'm too old for this shit."  So why would he hop back into action and star in the new Splinter Cell? Watch the story trailer below for those reasons. They are damn good reasons too. Two things before you go and jump into this video though. Read More...

Little Red In My Resident Evil 5
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of February 2010 - 02:19 AM ]
Well, the day is finally here where the entire console gaming community can get all those new features they threw into Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, without having to shell out the cash for a full game. The new DLC for the game is now available for download on the XBox 360 and PS3. The DLC includes all the build up to what happened to Jill in the cut scenes, and about an extra hour's worth of gameplay. Not to mention all the additional costumes and characters in the mutiplayer mode. To commemorate this day of the new release, Capcom has given us a video rendition of the old trailer for the game. A Different Look At Kingsmouth From The Secret World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of February 2010 - 09:30 PM ]
Looking at the below new assets for Funcom's upcoming MMO The Secret World, the excitement is back after the very lack-luster gameplay video they threw out there to entice us all. I still attest that it was pretty bad for the first real video for the game. But in any instance, like I said, the new screen shots totally make up for it. While it is hard to tell if these are stylized in-game shots or just concepts done up in an art department, they are still great pieces of eye candy. Although, like Alan Wake the jeep crash looks a bit too Silent Hill it still is intriguing. Read More...

Review: Dante's Inferno
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of February 2010 - 02:11 AM ]
Hell is a touchy subject. It has been and always will be. It was much worse to even speak about it back when Dante Alighieri wrote The Divine Comedy where he mapped out the circles of Heaven and Hell for all those God fearing Christians to know exactly what he thought was in store for humanity after they shed their mortal coil. But at least he made it easy to disseminate between the three areas one soul could go to. Now that the history lesson is over, let's look at where that has gone now, EA and Visceral Games', Dante's Inferno. Read More...

Darksiding With A Demo
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 17th of February 2010 - 03:02 PM ]
Darksiders, a game that seemed to have trouble finding a general consensus at first, but did manage several very positive reviews is bringing a 90-minute demo to the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 on Feb. 25th. The demo will have the Twilight Cathedral level and will include some of the puzzles that have divided the gaming crowd as well as some equipment to find and even a couple of boss battles. Though the game has already shipped a million units, will a demo bring more gamers to the table ready to take on the mantle of War? Time will tell next week when the demo drops. Read More...

Pea-shooting Zombies On The Go With iPhone/iPod
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 17th of February 2010 - 12:34 PM ]
Plants vs. Zombies was one of the 2009 most played games for the PC, especially for those at Aggrogamer.com. PopCap Games has announced today that they will be releasing the game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Plants vs. Zombies will be available now at the Apple’s App Store for $2.99. Andrew Stein, Director of Mobile platforms from PopCap Games made the following comment, “Plants vs. Zombies for iPhone and iPod Touch marks the first adaptation of our wildly popular ‘flower defense’ game to a new platform, and we’re excited at how well it has translated to the iPhone and iPod touch. We’ve stayed true to the original computer version with the full-featured gameplay of Adventure mode, and have optimized this adaptation around a seamless touch interface. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 17th of February 2010 - 12:35 AM ]

This Week In Nintendo 02/15/10
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 16th of February 2010 - 12:51 AM ]
Today is President Day and Nintendo wanted to join in the spirit of things by releasing new DLC this week, in honor of all the great leaders, with these excellent titles. Let us start with needing someone with a high end degree. We also need someone with experience and have a sense of problem-solving skills. That’s where Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney comes into play with the title release of Justice For All (and no we are not talking about the Metallica album). Now we need someone that is great with words. XBox LIVE Coming To A Windows Phone Near You
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 15th of February 2010 - 11:00 PM ]
With Mobile gaming on the rise, and new technologies emerging from console makers these days it was no surprise to see Microsoft announce XBox LIVE connectivity with the new Windows Phone 7 software. Unlike Windows Mobile 6.1 and higher, this is aimed at a more social experience by increasing communication across a multitude of carriers and phones. Windows Phone 7 will be available (unlike the iPhone) on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and HTC phones. Windows Phone 7 OS is going to be Microsoft's mobile entertainment platform, by bringing gaming to the player anywhere they go, and the ability to network with all your LIVE friends, Microsoft is coming out the gate swinging. Splinter Cell Conviction Screens Sneaking Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of February 2010 - 07:53 PM ]
Almost a year ago, we were all blown away with the visuals of Splinter Cell Conviction. Never playing one before seeing the video at the Ubisoft conference, I was overly intrigued with what Ubisoft had done with this game. Which of course led to the disappointment on never knowing when it was coming out. At least that was up until Ubisoft set the date in stone earlier this week. Which all of this of course means, here comes a few more visuals for the game. Read More...

Capcom Either Causes International Incidents Or Zombie Incidents
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of February 2010 - 03:57 PM ]
It looks like once again Capcom could not resist disseminating their social commentary to the world - be it that people are becoming more and more violent and creative or that we are all giving into the social zombism that is quickly spreading the planet. Hell, they even seem to want to weigh in on the issues between China, Korea, and the United States. They do this in one of the best ways ever: through video game trailers and game play. Below you will see two new video clips for two of Capcom's upcoming games: Dead Rising 2 and Super Street Fighter 4. Read More...

God Of War III Brings The Chaos
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of February 2010 - 08:54 PM ]
Consider my pants officially needing to be changed. Something you will be in agreement with once you check out the new God of War III trailer that just aired last night on Game Trailers TV. A trailer which we at AggroGamer are glad to give just below in case you missed it last night, or if you just want to watch it again, or show off to the rest of your friends. It is truly something as epic as the game it's self. While at first it may not look like there is anything that we have not already seen so far, this things is full of new looks and gameplay for us to enjoy. Read More...

Monsters, Controllers & Previews, Oh My!
by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 12th of February 2010 - 05:44 PM ]
Skepticism reigned as I sat down to play Monster Hunter Tri, but it began to dispel as I took the new Wii Classic Controller Pro in my hands and looked across the table at Binh, who was joining me for some co-operative hunting on another Wii. Capcom is breaking ground bringing the immensely popular Monster Hunter series to the Nintendo Wii along with this brand new controller. Though the franchise is huge in Japan, but not nearly as well known here in Europe and North America, Capcom looks to indoctrinate a new audience. If what I played at CES is any indicator, they are off to a good start. Read More...
