Yo Yo guys.   Some of you may of heard of a place called Omega Sektor which is a LAN game center in Birmingham. On the 9th of August they are having a birthday bash. Tickets will be £10 and the place will be open till 2am.   They will be releasing more information on this soon. Think you have what it takes to build your own game for Xbox Live, and can do better than what is out there now?  Well now you can, as Microsoft has announced that XNA Game Studio software will be made available to gamers who yearn to create their own video games.  Micorsoft already had a trial run of the XNA Creators Club games earlier this year which featured "Little Gamers", "Culture", "Jellycar", "The Dishwasher" and others.  MS has plans to introduce the XBox Live Community Games this holiday season to XBL Marketplace. Microsoft unveiled in their plan that you will be able to have your games added to the XBL Marketplace, for a price of 200 to 800 points, after passing a peer review, as well as take home a cut of the total revenue the game makes, which MS claims to be up to 70% in a form of a quarterly check. After 22 fantastic years of the Castlevania series, Konami announced that the latest installment of this series will be out in early 2009. This new installment will take full advantage fo the Wii controls, you will be able to employ numerous amounts of attacks on your enemies. I would imagine the controls would be similar to Zelda, where you use both the Nunchuck and the Wiimote. Where other Castlevania installments have fallen short, this title is going to break the boundries and let the player interact with the surroundings, which of course, will be used to destroy the minions of Dracula. So after being able to toss and destroy you enemies with weapons, you will also be able to use the monsters in the game and set traps for them ;) Not only will this game be insanely fun, it will also have a multiplayer option where you are able to battle 1v1 with your friends. Yesterday, July 3rd, Atlus announced that Persona 2 will be coming to American PS2s this December 12th 2008.  It was inevitable the game would be coming here considering the acclaim Persona 3 received from critics and gamers alike.  The only question was when, and Atlus answered.  Persona 4 takes place in a Japanese countryside at Gekkkoukan High, where a mysterious string of murders have taken place, and of course it's up to you and your team to find the answers.  Persona 3 introduced an interesting relationship system in which you had to build friendships to help boost abilities and teamwork.  In Persona 4 that system returns along with crafting weapons and even having part-time jobs. This past Thursday saw the release of a brand new costume pack for Hot Shots Golf 5 (Minna No Golf 5 in Japan).  For 600 Yen (approx. $6 U.S.), you can have 5 new sets for your existing characters. They include a ninja costume that resembles Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden and DOA fame, two Street Fighter knockoffs resembling Chun Li & Ryu, and finally a Sailor Boy and Baseball Player  costumes.  Each costume has 2 different color schemes to them.  This is the 2nd pack released of costumes in Japan, and I would expect both to be released in the states by the end of the year. Today, Valve released a whole bunch of updates for Team Fortress 2. Of the updates come 2 (not so new) maps. Valve has been keeping a close eye on it's servers and it seems that it picked it's 2 favorite user-created maps and stuffed them into today's TF2 Update. CP_Fastlane and CTF_Turbine are now available to you - so you can join these servers without having to wait to download them.On another note, Valve's second installment of the TF2 Achievement updates has also been released today. Tecmo and Nintendo have at least revealed the story behind Fatal Frame IV (aka Fatal Frame Zero) which will debut for the first time ever on a Nintendo platform this July.  The story is based around a young girl who was kidnapped when she was young, and rescued by a detective.  Several years later 2 of 5 people involved in the kidnapping incident mysteriously die.  You must return to the clouded moon island in which the kidnapping took place and unravel the mystery behind the current happenings. There will be multiple settings to explore, including a deserted house and a decaying hospital, in which you will need to solve puzzles in order to unravel the mysterious happenings and history of the island, and eventually the truth about the kidnapping of your youth.
