NOTE: I am not a huge Halo player. I've played and beaten Halo: Combat Evolved, but I have not beaten Halo 2 or Halo 3 (even though I do own both, I have never played either extensively). So please be gentle if I have no idea what a bunch of stuff in Halo is.... mainly because I don't have any idea.... UFC 2009 Undisputed Footage Attention UFC fans, it looks like THQ is getting a great game wrapped up for you to dish out your own fantasy fights within the UFC. Just to show it off, THQ let a bunch more screen shots flow out to tantalize us all as well as a "mock" fight video between two of the fighters from the game. Complete with a not so drunken Joe Rogan giving his thoughts on how the fight is playing out and advantages one fighter has over the other. This time it shows off how to attack with any of the melee weapons you can pick up in the game. As we know there are a lot of random things like this in this franchise. Sega announced yesterday in a press release that their best selling tennis series Virtua Tennis will be hitting store shelves in May 2009, that includes on the Nintendo Wii. Before you Wii owners (myself included) start dreaming of Wii Sports tennis, only more responsive and on a grander scale, I caution you that they have not released any information on how the Wii's "unique" controls will factor into the game mechanics. I am a little frightened that the Vice President of Marketing, Sean Radcliffe, chose the "Court Games" as the feature he wished to highlight for the Wii. Ubisoft announced today that the official Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. demo will be released over the next two days. Firstly it will appear on the Xbox Live tomorrow Feb. 11th, and then the following day it well be released on the PlayStation Store. Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, spoke with CNBC last week while at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. During the interview in which he discussed several economic points regarding the video game industry, Kotick made mention of the fact that he company is working on a title called DJ Hero. "We have the product called DJ Hero that's coming out later this year which is a turntable that you can actually play competitively and spin discs and mix songs." FreeStyleGames, was purchased by Activision on September 12, 2008 to help produce downloadable content for games in the Guitar Hero series and are set to develop the game. Read More...
