Review — Agents Of Mayhem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Agents Of Mayhem We sit down and review Agents Of Mayhem. It's a Saints Row spin-off that is looking for its own identity. Here's our review of Agents Of Mayhem The time is now and Agents Of Mayhem has released to bring us all another title in a shared universe for Volition's other titles that have made huge splashes out there. Of course, this is all set to a theme of Saturday morning cartoons and over the top heroes with a third-person action-adventure game slapped in for mechanics, so I'll let you start to figure out the parallels between them all. Or you can look at the Agents Of Mayhem marketing that Deep Silver has thrown out there to get a feel for it all a bit more with a definite 80s feel to the theme as well. Read More...

Travel Into Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's In-Game Market
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is getting an in-game market that will allow you to quickly upgrade your Shadow Of War characters if you choose It looks like we can add another game in the mix that will be implementing micro-transactions in the way of Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War. Yes, it looks like we are getting them here as we have just been introduced to The Market aspect of the game that will allow us to purchase upgrades, weapons, and other boosts to help us survive the game that Monolith Productions has for us here. Sadly, this is not a huge shocker as many titles are going down this path to continue to generate revenue after a title has been launched. Now we just get to add Shadow Of War to that list of titles when it lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 10th here. Read More...

Review — Batman: The Enemy Within — The Enigma
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Enemy Within — The Enigma. This is the first episode of Telltale's second take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did He we go with another trip into Gotham as the first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within has just dropped and is continuing the story mostly where we left off. That story being however you left Gotham after the events of the first time Telltale Games brought us this fun. All with the extra level of madness Batman usually brings out in the world and he is doing it in spades here yet again. Read More...

Giant Consequences Are Coming For Minecraft: Story Mode's Next Episode
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft The trailer for the next episode of Minecraft: Story Mode has been released and it looks to be filled with even more Minecraft references as we enter the arena We have a new trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode next episode to look at and try to figure out what is going on after the events of the last one. It has been an interesting trip for Jesse and crew and they were all left in a very bad place after all was said and done. A traditional cliffhanger that we know from Telltale Games here so not too shocking, but it does look like they are taking us off into whole new worlds and events set forth by The Admin that was shown off in the last episode of Minecraft: Story Mode. How Will You Customize Sebastian In The Evil Within 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Evil Within 2 New details on The Evil Within 2's customization options have been given and it looks like The Evil Within 2 will play more how we all want and not on rails If you were hoping that The Evil Within 2 was going to be exactly like the last version of the game where you were directed down very specific paths to get through all of the horror out there, then you'll be glad to know that can still be an option for you. If that kind of game isn't for you, then you'll be happy too as it looks like Tango Gameworks has crafted the game with you in mind as well as it will be more open for exploration and have upgrades and crafting mixed in to give you an action-horror if that is your jam. Hells, it even sounds like The Evil Within 2 can be all psychological and terror filled for those who want that when Bethesda brings it to market on October 13th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Game On As The Riddler Is Here To Terrorize In Batman: The Enemy Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Batman The first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within has been released just in time to show us how dark this new season for Batman will be here With Batman: The Enemy Within's first episode dropping this week, I guess it is a good time to have a look at the latest trailer for the episode and see just what we could be in store for the whole ride. If anything, just what Telltale Games may have for us in the first installment of this continuation of the altered universe cannon we've had so far. Seeing as the first season's choices for Batman will be carried over and they did a few things that the comics have yet to do, I'm going to just assume this is all non-cannon for the official comic line. Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence. This is the first episode of Telltale's second take on Mojang's famed Minecraft franchise. Here's our review on how they did It's time to kick off yet another season for Minecraft: Story Mode as the first episode has dropped on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices with it coming soon to the Switch. All of this is something you should have known by now, but none the less Telltale Games is back at it trying to give us a great story set in the universe that Mojang has crafted that only has stories if we so define them. At least that has always been my takeaway for Minecraft before now and enjoy seeing it through the lens of another. Read More...

Let’s Have A Carnage A Trois With The Latest Agents Of Mayhem Squad
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Agents Of Mayhem The latest squad for Agents Of Mayhem has been revealed and they come with all the lack of tact that Agents Of Mayhem should be bringing us all Since Agents Of Mayhem is launching so soon, August 15th still, it is time we rounded out all of those squads and characters that we will get to play here in a few weeks. We all want to know that characters a bit more, even if it isn't through gameplay, just to see just whom we might be favoring when we jump into Volition's new title. Maybe not though as it does seem like Deep Silver has been a little light on the actual gameplay for Agents Of Mayhem's characters and more about the personalities. Read More...

Night Trap's 25th Anniversary Version Now Has A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Night Trap The release date for Night Trap, the 25th anniversary version, has been set and is bringing some extra Night Trap features never before played It's seems that the re-release of Night Trap only missed the initial release window by a short time, but now we know that if you are looking for the game on the PS4 and PC you can look toward August 15th now to get your hands on some of that sweat "retro" gaming action. It may not be retro in the way you all normally think, Screaming Villains are bringing it all back from the '90s for us and it falls into the category there. Even if Night Trap was all FMV and non-sprite based. Read More...

Meet Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's Shelob & The Agonizer With New Trailers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War Two new trailers for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War are here fresh from SDCC and give us a feel for two more of Shadow Of War's characters This year's SDCC may be over, but that doesn't stop all of the videos and updates we had out there from flowing out and here we go with two more for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War. Yes, two more and two more characters that will be coming to life from Monolith Productions here to make the game's story richer and in some cases a little more lighthearted. That seems like a weird thing to write here given the heaviness of Shadow Of War, but it looks like we are not just getting some dark and depressing tale here on October 10th. Read More...

Batman: The Enemy Within Has Been Announced & Coming Next Week
by Julia Schoebel [ Monday, 31st of July 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Batman During SDCC Batman: The Enemy Within has been announced and will continue the story that Batman: The Telltale Series started for us all So many things received the announcement out at SDCC and it sucks that Batman: The Enemy Within fell through the cracks over here. Especially given that the first episode is set to drop on August 8th next week and the fact that this IP has been one of the better ones in Telltale Games' basket for a while now. At least it has been for me and I have been wanting more of this Batman for quite some time now that the season ended for the other one. I just want to see where it all goes and how all of the choices will alter this brave new world for the character and all of the villains I made or took down over the course of it all. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/24/17 — 7/28/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of July 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This was totally a recovery week in video games for us over here and the industry in whole. Two of the bigger cons for the industry have now wrapped and we have a few more off in the near future and here we site continuing the coverage out of both of those major events. That's not to say that is all we have to cover for video games as we did get to see a whole lot more for Hellblade this week as we head toward the release date for that, but of course there was still a lot from Call Of Duty, Wolfenstein II, and Marvel Vs Capcom fresh out of SDCC and there is still plenty more to come. This is always the best time of year for video games in terms of news and updates. Read More...

Get Ready To Tackle The Horrors Of A.I.M.Brella In Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Marvel Vs Capcom New gameplay for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite was shown during SDCC as well as a new level for Marvel Vs Capcom and new fighters Not the biggest of surprises out of SDCC this year was another announcement for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite in terms of characters, levels, and Infinity Stones that we will get to use in the game. I say it wasn't much of a surprise given the fact that both Capcom and Marvel are well known to be at the convention every year and have such a strong presence that it would have been a letdown for there to be nothing. With Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite still launching on September 19th for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, they still have a way to go in terms of showing it all off so it would make perfect sense we'd see some new characters, levels, and stones here. Here's Your Last Chance To Survive The Evil Within 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of July 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Evil Within A new bit of gameplay for The Evil Within 2 has been released as well as the pre-order bonuses for The Evil Within 2 to help us along It looks as if all of the teasing for The Evil Within 2 has been put off and now we are going to get some solid new looks at the game as we head toward October 13th here. At least for now as it looks like Bethesda has for us a new look at the work that Tango Gameworks has done with a new gameplay trailer. Well, in-game trailer as it doesn't look like much of the mechanics of The Evil Within 2 are being shown here but more of the general look and feel of some of the actions to be taken in the game.
