New characters, new modes, and of course new maps. PopCap Games has been doing a great job of making the game feel new and not just making it feel like an expansion off of the original game. So it shouldn't that big of a surprise that Garden Warfare 2 is going to have twelve different and new maps ready when the game hits the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on February 23rd and we have our first look at them. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 6th of February 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There we go and wrap another great week in video games. It may not have been the most exciting in the lot but there was a whole lot of great things covered during the week. Such video games as Final Fantasy XV and Friday The 13th had some great coverage but also a final release date for DOOM and new bit of story for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst even if it does make the overall game look a lot different than we grew to love before. Thus is the way of video games right? Of course it is. Read More...

Here's Paragon's Kallari Showing Off All Of The Hero Abilities
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Paragon Another hero for Paragon is out there and showing off hero abilities that we will all get to employ once we dig into Paragon on our own time Yet another hero for Paragon has stepped out of the shadows for us and all in the vein of showing off some new hero abilities for the game. Well at least hero abilities for Kallari as I know each hero is being hand crafted by Epic Games to be unique and not share a thing. Of course that is the hope for Paragon and we'll all just have to wait and see if that is how things actually go. I have faith and so should you but then again Paragon could fall to the same gaming issues as many other games out there. Read More...

Another Pair Of Badasses Join The Ranks Of Battleborn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Battleborn Two more characters join Battleborn as playable and we have a bit more gameplay for Battleborn to show off how they fit into the 5v5 multiplayer experience We can now bring the total number of characters revealed for Battleborn up to 20 out of the 25 as we have two more to add to the list. Not only two more characters to add but Gearbox has also given us some new gameplay footage for Battleborn to show off these new characters in all of their virtual glory. There is still plenty of time before the May 3rd release date for Battleborn to get those other five characters in there but there is a beta and promotions to be had for the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC so I am sure they will be in short order to get out. The Plants Of Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Come In Varieties
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Garden Warfare 2 A new gameplay video for Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is out and it shows off some of the other plant types we will play in Garden Warfare 2 outside of the norm You would be daft to think that Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 was going to deviate from the normal set up that we had in the previous game when it came to variants to the core classes/characters. I'm not talking a few new skins that PopCap Games threw together to make it feel like there is something completely different for each of the characters but in some cases, hopefully in Garden Warfare 2, these added different gameplay features into the mix. Now we have a nice view of some of the other Plants coming to the game when it lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 23rd. Read More...

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Is Coming To Expand The Universe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of February 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Star Wars LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just been announced and coming later this year to further expand the Star Wars universe in a way that only LEGO can do We all figured it was coming but now we have an official announcement for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I would have thought that TT Games would have tried to get this out closer to the release of the film to try and capitalize on all of that at the time but it just wasn't in the cards I guess. Maybe Warner Bros. couldn't secure the needed materials to make LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens back then. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 1/25/16 — 1/29/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This week in video games did start out on a somber note but then things escalated quickly. I'm talking about the delay announcement at the start of the week and then a whole slew of new games like Conan Exiles and Song Of The Deep getting full announcements. We even were able to put a nail in the announcement of TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan and sit back and wait for that to come out now. All kinds of great news in video games and we haven't even made it into the bulk of PAX South that is going on right now. Read More...

Insomniac's Next Title Has Been Announced As Song Of The Deep
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of January 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Song Of The Deep Another title from Insomniac has been announced called Song Of The Deep and we have the first trailer for Song Of The Deep as well as how this game will be played out It looks like Insomniac Games has been working on more than we thought over since their last major release as now we have another title from them on the way in form of Song Of The Deep. This is a brand new IP for them in the gameplay style of "Metroidvania" that takes place in an underwater setting where we follow the tale of Merryn who is trying to find her father who is lost in the depths of the sea. Not a horrible kind of setting for Song Of The Deep although I will say the tease and name did lead me to think we were going to see a horror game but first impressions are not always correct. TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan Officially Announced & Coming This Summer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of January 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
TMNT The official announcement for TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan has been made, finally, and we have the first details for TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan along with a trailer It only took a little over a month and a whole lot of "leaked" info but TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan is a real thing and now we have the official statement of so. I am still not completely certain why it took Platinum Games or Activision to fully embrace the leaks and plug them by officially announcing TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan but what is done is done. Now we just get to look forward and onward for this TMNT video game to hit this summer on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

New Heroes And Gameplay For Paragon As We Rush The Mid-Lane
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of January 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Paragon Four new heroes for Paragon have been revealed as well as a few of their new powers and abilities we'll use in Paragon Another trailer for Paragon has made its way out there but instead of showing off more gameplay mechanics or more abilities for the established heroes that Epic Games has given us it looks like we have a few more heroes getting the public face out there. It took them so long to get all of that information out there for Paragon way back before the first announcement and now it looks like we have four more just dropped in our laps and ready for when the Beta hits the PS4 after it has undergone a bit more of testing on the PC. Of course none of these new heroes for Paragon are all too new for those who are already part of the closed beta that is going on. Read More...

Minecraft: Story Mode Is Making The Move To The Wii U
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of January 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Minecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story Mode is finally making the leap to the Wii U so now Nintendo fans will be able to enjoy Minecraft: Story Mode in all of its glory It looks like we have yet another platform to the mix for Minecraft: Story Mode as the game is making the leap to the Wii U now. It looks like Telltale Games was done with losing out on dominating all of the platforms out there for the Mojang franchise and not Minecraft: Story Mode is landing on January 21st in terms of the first episode. Now almost no one will have an excuse for not playing this game and hopefully none of their other titles out there. Read More...

Screenshots For TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan Have Surfaced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of January 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Mutants In Manhattan Another leak for the unannounced TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan has occurred and this time we have screenshots to see for Mutants In Manhattan to show the game in some way Another major leak for TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan but still no official announcement for the game. This time it looks like we have some actual screenshots from the game even though Platinum Games and Activision has yet to give the official word on Mutants In Manhattan. Still very odd but this could all be part of their plan to promote the game well before it gets any kind of official announcement. We'll just keep TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan as one of the worst kept secrets for now as we have a look at the new screenshots and wait for the word on the game truly being in the works. Read More...
