This Week In Video Games 3/6/17 — 3/10/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 11th of March 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site One more grueling week of video games in the bag here and it was yet another one filled with all kinds of fun. We had some of the aftermath of GDC to still filter through here as well as the start of PAX East and soon SXSW. Those are just the conventions for all these video games at that as we also saw a whole lot for Injustice 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda flow out here this week. Also we have official word on when Outlast 2 and Styx: Shards Of Darkness will finally be hitting our homes. Read More...

The Winds Of Change Are Being Summoned Up In Paragon As Yin Joins The Fight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of March 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Paragon The next character for Paragon has been revealed and we will all see Yin join the Paragon roster here next week in the usual update Another three weeks have gone by and here we are yet again with another fighter to join in for Paragon. It's hard sometimes to realize that much time has actually passed here and now we have one more character added in by Epic Games, but none the less here we go. This new Paragon hero is Yin and she looks like she is here to whip everyone into shape as well as use the winds of the world to her advantage. At least that is how the description goes and we'll know for sure when she officially adds to the ranks on March 14th during the normal update that comes every three weeks. Read More...

It Is Almost Time To Join The Experiments Of The Crow's Eye
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of March 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
The Crow's Eye New gameplay for The Crow's Eye is here and it looks like the release date has been set for The Crow's Eye as well in a few weeks Earlier in the year here we were treated with a nice little tease for a game called The Crow's Eye. It looked to be an interesting psychological puzzle style game that 3D2 Entertainment was going to test our brains and sanity with and then there wasn't much more of a word from it since. I know it piqued my interest when I saw it and was eagerly waiting to see some solid gameplay and possibly a date to look out for when it would hit my PC. As it turns out though, it looks like both have been answered here as The Crow's Eye will be launching on March 20th here and we also have some solid gameplay to look at and see if it will hold up to the speculations. The Guardians Of The Galaxy Cast Is Here With Gameplay Coming Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of March 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Guardians Of The Galaxy New screenshots for Guardians Of The Galaxy have been placed out there with word on when we'll see Guardians Of The Galaxy in action before launch We've all been waiting for something to come out officially for the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy title that Telltale Games is working on but since its originally announcement back in December all we've had have been rumors and speculation. Things like the "leak" that we may see the first episode at least before the end of April, the 25th is still the date in rumor, as well as very little on what the game's story will actually revolve around. Given that Marvel has made it clear that their video games don't need to follow the Film and TV franchise continuity if they don't want to, this version of the Guardians Of The Galaxy is rather up in the air and still fraught with mystery. Have More On How Horizon Zero Dawn's World Was Built & Fleshed Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of February 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn Another developer breakdown for Horizon Zero Dawn is here and shows off more on how Horizon Zero Dawn's world was built and how the facial animations were captured Hopefully you are not getting tired of hearing about Horizon Zero Dawn as not only do we have more to look at for it, but it launches in only a few days on February 28th. I know I feel like we've had so much on the game shown off so far from Guerrilla Games but as it sounds, we have only been shown very little to date. That is great for those who want to stay as spoiler free as possible. Read More...

You Too Can Dazzle Your Audience As Shinbi Joins The Ranks Of Paragon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Paragon The next hero for Paragon has been announced and this time we add a pop star into the battle of Paragon whom can summon spirit wolves Just when I thought that the ideas for Paragon heroes would be running out, Epic Games drops another one on us and mixes things up by giving us something we didn't know we wanted; a pop star. Yes, the next character to join the fight here is a pop star and is using her brand of music and talents to assassinate others on the battle field. Like I said, not what I would have expected for Paragon but it is a deviation from the traditional warrior types that we've been seeing here for the last few updates. Read More...

The Earth Really Is Not Ours Anymore In Horizon Zero Dawn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn has been released showing off just how the world became the place it is in Horizon Zero Dawn's main story Another week and another huge batch of Horizon Zero Dawn trailers to look at dissect as we wait for February 28th to finally get here and we can load up the game on our PS4. It seems like such a long wait still but as long as Guerrilla Games keeps bringing out these new trailers for us I think we will be able to manage. At least as long as we can keep to being as spoiler free as we've been able to so far for Horizon Zero Dawn. Read More...

Mothergunship Will Bring More Bullet-Hell Gameplay To The Universe
by Duke Searles [ Wednesday, 15th of February 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Mothergunship A new FPS title, Mothergunship, has been announced and Mothergunship looks to bring both some bullet-hell as well as modular weapon crafting to us If you've been feeling like there have been a lack of solid, shoot-the-hells-out-of-everything, FPS games out there then you'll be glad to see that Mothergunship is on its way to sate that hunger. This would be the most recent title announced from Grip Digital and Terrible Posture Games that pits you into the mix of shoot first and ask questions never kind of game play. At least from the first trailer we have here for Mothergunship announcing that it is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the future. Read More...

Not only that, but it looks like it will also be getting a nationwide theatrical release as well. Just another way to get more of our beloved Capcom IP here now. This should be relatively great news for all of those Resident Evil fans out there as that puts it all at one major title release, a plethora of add-on and DLC releases, and two theatrical releases for the franchise. Perception A new gameplay trailer for Perception has been released and it is also here to announce that Perception will also be coming to the Xbox One Good news for those Xbox One gamers out there who were excited to see Perception in action but then let down when it was only announced for the PC and PS4. It looks like The Deep End Games will also be bringing their horror title to you as well now so all of the consoles and systems will get some love. This Week In Video Games 2/6/17 — 2/10/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 11th of February 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site That puts another wrap on another week of video games out there. Another pretty solid one again even though it was obvious which titles wanted to dominate the week. Looking at you Horizon Zero Dawn. But just because there was so much on that one title doesn't mean there wasn't a lot more on many other video games out there. We did get to see a bit for Injustice 2 and a nice update for Psychonauts 2. Read More...
