by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
In the wake of 'leaks' before E3, Homefront: The Revolution gets an announcement trailer to show off the new Crytek title Looks like one of the secret titles that Deep Silver was holding off to show at E3 has been fully announced and it is Homefront: The Revolution. It's the next installment into the franchise coming from Crytek using their beast of a game engine, the CryEngine. Knowing that we can rest assured that it is going to look absolutely spectacular if you have the system to run it. How about I let you take a look at all of that before I move on to tell you what Deep Silver has told us about Homefront: The Revolution? Read More...

Four New Characters Have Been Revealed For Evolve
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There are now four new characters for Evolve but the same four classes. Just in case you thought the first set of hunters for Evolve were boring, Turtle Rock has brought us four new characters for the game. One for each class with their own new personalities and different abilities, skills, and weapons in the game. I'll be honest here too; each of these new characters seems a lot cooler than the basic four that came with the original announcement for Evolve. Here is a quick rundown for the four new characters. Driveclub Was Delayed Again But Now We Have A Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Driveclub has been pushed back once again but now there is a solid date of October 7th. Yes, that means that Driveclub won't be coming to the PS4 here in early 2014 as stated before. Apparently the game just will not be ready until about the first anniversary of the next gen console's launch. Now the date is October 7th if you sit through and watch the gorgeous trailer that was released showing the new date in all of its kind of glory. Good news for all of you race fans or those who want to see how pretty a racing game can be on next gen. The following trailer does look nice and I had no doubt that Driveclub would but outside of being free for PS+ I don't think I'll be playing it more than a few times. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This has been one bipolar week for gaming news hasn't it? Maybe you haven't seen anything yet so you might not know but below is yet another list of what we covered in the world of gaming. It started out slow, then picked up, then dropped off again. The world of gaming all wrapped up with a confirmation of two things; Mad Max is still coming although late and that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will have Carnage as one of the prime villains of the game. Those were the most recent items in this week of gaming but we also got the rumor that there would be a Resident Evil 7 announced as soon as E3 and a whole lot going on in the world of Watch_Dogs. Check Out The New Evolve Trailer That Lets You Choose Your Vantage Point
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer/gameplay video for Evolve has been released and it lets you choose the character you watch in the match. That latest trailer for Evolve is completely the way that multiplayer titles should do it. As you have most likely not jumped to the following trailer yet, let me explain. Turtle Rock and 2K have put together a nice nine minute game session for Evolve showing off some of the game's mechanics as well as abilities employed by each of the five different playable characters. The best part is you can hop between each of them to see what they see while running around trying to kill the Goliath or trying to survive and kill the players. As of writing this I have yet to see the match through each character's eyes but I have watched the commentated version of the Evolve match and I can be colored impressed for this multiplayer titles. If You Thought Zombies Were Bad, Wait Until Evolve
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 24th of February 2014 - 06:02 PM ]
It is time to "Evolve." From the creators of Left 4 Dead comes an exciting new first and third-person shooter; Evolve. One might ask: how can a game be both? Well in first-person mode three other players and you team up to take down a monster, while the other person controls the monster from a third-person perspective. Some of these monsters look absolutely terrifying. My favorite monster so far is a 30 foot tall snarling beast with spikes. Read More...

Evolve Is Not Really Evolving Multiplayer, But It Works
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
We have some new details on Evolve, the upcoming 4v1 shooter from Turtle Rock Studios. Trailer and screen shots galore. So when I hear a game is going to be multiplayer heavy as is the case with Evolve, I normally cringe. I also usually think of just giving a blanket pass on the title as well. But with what I have been seeing and reading from Evolve my interest has been piqued again. Just in case you don't know what the game is about here's a short history lesson. Originally it was going to be published by THQ and was called Wild. Read More...

Miss The Konami PrE3 2013 Show? We Have It Here For You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of June 2013 - 06:01 PM ]
Even though we are still days out from E3 week, Konami has taken it upon themselves to "go first" with the showcase of what they have coming in the next year. This isn't anything new for Konami and will probably stay the same for the coming years. The entire "event" went live at 10 am PST and as of this posting just about ended, but we have it in its entirety in case the real world had you pulled away from you computers. Here is a short over view but if you don't want spoilers go ahead and jump on down to the video. There were three big titles that were the main focus of the whole event, Pro Evolution Soccer, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2. Read More...

Review: Serious Sam Double D XXL
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 22nd of February 2013 - 06:15 PM ]
Serious Sam Double D XXL is one hell of a mouthful, especially for a title of a game. But don't let the ridiculously long title discourage you from enjoying this great game. Featuring a Gunstacking ability, some awesome platforming, 2D side-scrolling action, and the comedy/humor we all know and love from the Serious Sam franchise. So let's talk about what I enjoyed about Serious Sam Double D XXL. God damn it I need to find a shorter name for that game SSDDXXL? Read More...

Incoming Flame War From Devolver Digital
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 29th of October 2012 - 11:01 PM ]
All this week Devolver Digital is bringing the flame wars ablaze with their "Warfighter-Fighter" campaign. A 50% smear campaign and 50% promotional campaign. So starting... Now all that you have to do to be entered for a chance to win a free copy of Serious Sam 3: BFE, is to tweet a message about the stagnant modern military FPS genre with the hashtag #SeriousSam3XBLA or for those of you who don't use twitter there is also the Serious Sam fan page where you just have to post on their wall doing the same. Here is the official post from Devolver Digital: "During this busy season of video game releases the team at Devolver Digital realize that not every game will live up to expectations. One such game has been Medal Of Honor: Warfighter - yet another military shooter where cover is king and most folks spend their time peeking out from behind a wall or strategically place concrete barrier.
