I've been following Shank for a while now, and I've been consistently impressed by the visuals and the style of the game. It's like a 2D explosion of sweetly animated vengeance carefully marinated in some of the craziest violence that does not include a certain Devil Who May Cry or Dual Wielding Busty Librarian Clothed In Her Own Hair. Boston has their own anime convention called Anime Boston. You would think that even with just that convention the people in the Boston area would be satisfied dressing up as their favorite anime, cartoon, and video game characters. Well that was not the case here at PAX East. With all the video games demos, accessories, and many other items on the show floor, the Cosplayers came out and showed what they had in their closets. So Civilization fans will be happy to know that 2K Games was kind enough to show at PAX East that they will be coming out with a brand new Civilization game called... Civilization V. Nice title huh? Mafia originally came out on PC in 2002, then later on the orginial XBox, and then PlayStation 2 in 2004. Several years later 2K is releasing the second installment of the Mafia series with Mafia 2. Just under a month since Dante's Inferno brought hellfire and brimstone to homes around the world, comes the prequel for the overall story of the main game, Dark Forest. A nice, albeit short, addition to the story of Dante's Inferno. Not to mention a few more puzzles and a"new" demon for Dante to slay to try and save Beatrice before she is killed. Disclaimer: Before you continue on to reading this review, I want to say a couple of things. If you have not played Dragon Age: Origins, I highly recommend you do before playing this expansion. While it is playable as a stand alone on consoles, you will be doing yourself a huge disservice by not playing through the original storyline. Second, play through all current DLC on the main game as well before importing your character into Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, as you will not be able to go back and play through that once your character has gone through the Awakening storyline.
