Last week Hudson Entertainment released screen shots on Onslaught, hailed the first First Person Shooter on WiiWare. Now, they have finally pulled back the curtains on the official Onslaught online page. The new, flashier vehicle now provides more insight into the story, wiimote and nunchuk button layouts for both foot and vehicle movement, small weapons and vehicle layouts and some finer details on on-line play. Yes, folks I had to re-read the website myself, Hudson is promising on-line co-op and ranking system for up to 4 players. In an e-mail to Atlus Faithful today, Atlus Co. has announced that Legacy of Ys: Books I & II, for Nintendo DS, pre-orders at participating retailers will now come with a bonus Soundtrack CD. This soundtrack CD will cover music from both Books I & II, but Atlus has not specified the length of the tracklist yet. Atlus had this to say about the soundtrack: Epic in melody and arrangement, the Ys Books I & II soundtrack has long been considered one of the greatest video same scores ever created. As relevant today as ever, the freshly arranged music CD still manages the same level of excitement and energy, and stand as a testament to true excellence in game music. Read More...

Time Hollow is a point and click adventure game from Konami for the Nintendo DS written by Junko Kawano of Shadow of Destiny and Suikoden IV fame. The story is about a young high school kid named Ethan Kairos. He lives with his mom and dad, until one night he has a horrible nightmare. During the nightmare, his mom and dad are trapped in a fire, and escape through a portal. After awaking from the dream, he finds that his parents have been missing for twelve years and he now lives with his uncle. His pet cat, Sox, shows up with a pen tied to his neck, and Ethan learns that the pen has the ability to alter time. Read More...

Dungeon Crawler Hack & Slash RPG games are starting to become a regular genre on the Nintendo DS, so does Aksys Games' set itself apart with From The Abyss? Unfortunately the game doesn't do much to stand out amongst its peers, but it is still a fun time for J-RPG fans. From The Abyss takes place in Rubenhaut where the kingdom has been overrun by monsters flowing through the Abyss Gate. You choose your hero from four possible choices, two male and two female, and then answer a short series of questions to give your character a sense of background. You arrive in Rubenhaut and meet with the queen, whom enlists your help to rid the land of monsters, and thus your journey to free the kingdom begins. Read More...

As of today, Bungie announced that Halo 3: Recon will now be known as Halo 3: ODST, meaning Oribtal Drop Shock Trooper, the center character for the game. "If you recall, this is our recently announced stand-alone extension to Halo 3 that features an all new campaign played from the perspective of an ODST in the heart of a Covenant occupied New Mombasa. In addition to sleuthing around the city and piecing together the details surrounding your squad's whereabouts, the game will also include some new Halo 3 multiplayer content as well as one or two unrevealed surprises when it's released next Fall. During their Fall Press Conference today, Nintendo announced a new version of the Nintendo DS called the DSi. The handheld's screens have been enlarged, and will now be 17% bigger (at 3.25 inches) from a DS Lite. The rumors of audio enhancement and .3 megapixel (640x480) camera have proven to be correct. The DSi will also feature an SD memory card slot, making it possible to take pictures with the DSi and then view them on the Nintendo Wii. The DSi will feature a built-in browser, and is able to download games and keep them. Read More...

Pokemon Platinum, the third game in the Diamond and Pearl series, was recently released in Japan. During the first days of it's release it sold nearly 1 million units. In one weekend it sold over 963,000 copies, all for the Nintendo DS. This made Pokemon Platinum the fastest selling Nintendo DS game ever. The Pokemon series has a long history of being extremely successful, especially in Japan. The game still has no confirmed released date in America. Read More...

It seems that on September 7th customers will see a new addition to the DS color lineup in the form of Metallic Silver. The other color choices available for the DS are: Polar White, Onyx, Coral Pink, Crimson/Black, Cobalt/Black, and Metallic Rose. According to Nintendo there are over 600 DS games to choose from..that is a lot of games! Sega is hard at work to make you beautiful. The gaming company has teamed up with the make-up powerhouse Shiseido to bring women and men a personal beauty consultant. Project Beauty will be hitting shelves in Japan on November 27 on the Nintendo DS. The game will be used with a scanning device that will take a digital image of the players face and feed it into the DS. After scanning your face you will be put into one of four groups; Cool, Active, Cute or Feminine. You then have the option of the game telling you what's best for your particular face or you can decide for yourself by mixing and matching different colors. Read More...

Nintendo has confirmed that a a limited edition Pokemon DS pack will go on sale August 17th For $129.99. It'll feature the custom Onyx Nintendo DS with images of Dialga and Palkia. This was previously sold back in Japan at the Pokemon Center retails. It will also include never before released Pokémon animated special Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, a special Dialga and Palkia carrying case, and collectible mini-poster. It is now OFFICIAL! Square-Enix has confirmed that Chrono Trigger DS will be hitting the U.S. just in time for the 2008 holiday season. Kotaku broke the story with the official press release. It will incorporate the Dual Screen and Touchpad of the DS while keeping the integrity of the original game in tact. They will also be adding on a brand new dungeon for the upcoming DS release.
