Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week If you were hoping things to be quite this week in video games just before E3, we would all be wrong. It is seeming more and more as if we are getting announcements before the event instead of surprises day of. Darksiders The next Darksiders title has been announced and will be altering the style and bringing us Strife with Darksiders Genesis It looks like we were all right in guessing what THQ Nordic was going to announce as we have Darksiders Genesis here just before the big showing at E3. This would be their next title in the franchise and it is a prequel to it all. Not only that, but we get to finally see Strife in action in the franchise. Man Of Medan The release date for The Dark Pictures — Man Of Medan is set down for August and we have a set of pre-order bonuses to consider for Man Of Medan It is finally here and we have a release date for Supermassive Games' next title Man Of Medan. I had a feeling we were going to have to wait until at least October for this first part of the anthology to drop, but it looks like it will be joining other titles from Bandai Namco and dropping in August. Yes, we can now look to see Man Of Medan on August 30th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. PC being in a digital form while it looks like the other platforms will be getting an actual physical release. Darkborn Project Wight is now known as Darkborn and we have a whole lot of new gameplay to show off how Darkborn has evolved since we last saw it It looks like the old Project Wight is no more as it will now be known as Darkborn from henceforward. Not that The Outsiders has scrapped the former title, but that was just the working title before we have the current name of this interesting title set down to be able to know what game we are talking about. Not the biggest of news here unless you are overly excited for just something named Darkborn. Rampage being her horse that she will be riding and having all kinds of fun within the game. I know I was starting to worry that Gunfire Games was going to leave the horse out of the game, but knew it would not actually happen. Here is our review of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus Launching onto Steam like the ever-increasing swarm that is the Warhammer franchise, Mechanicus tries to head in a different direction than previous titles. Focusing on the often background relegated computer nerds and mechanics of the Imperium, the Adeptus Mechanicum seems like a strange move. They do not really fight, they are the ones that build the spaceships and design weapons for the Imperium at large but never as frontline fighters. Read More...
