New Details For Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Have Been Dug Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of January 2015 - 06:01 PM ]
The latest Game Informer has a spotlight on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and includes multiplayer and a bit of the game's story I thought we would have had to wait a bit longer for some Uncharted 4: A Thief's End news given the huge showing at the PlayStation Experience a month ago. Luckily for all of us who want more for Nathan Drake the February 2015 edition of Game Informer has given the PS4 title a cover story and filled its pages with news on what we've already seen as well as a few things about the story and multiplayer for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. All the stuff that we could have wanted to find out from Naughty Dog before the most likely huge E3 showcasing we will have for this huge IP. Yes, I did say multiplayer for Uncharted 4. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Shigeru Miyamoto stated in a recent interview with Smosh Games that Star Fox for the Wii U could have a playable demo at E3 2015 If you are a Star Fox and also on the list for going to E3 this year then you may be able to line up and play the game. At least if you are lucky enough to get in and willing to sit in the crazy long line that is going to inevitably be plaguing the Nintendo booth given the latest little tidbit revealed on Smosh Games. That being from Shigeru Miyamoto responding from the age old question of "when will we get to play [insert game]?" The game in question if you've been following along is of course Star Fox for the Wii U. Read More...

Where & When Would You Like Far Cry To Be Set Next?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
A test market survey for Far Cry from Ubisoft was sent out and it alludes to other options that we may see for the franchise moving forward Marketing surveys can be fun and in the case of the most recent one for Far Cry from Ubisoft it looks like the fun doesn't stop. In fact it flows and has now added all kinds of speculation to the future of the franchise that they are still doing extremely well with. At least last I checked Far Cry 4 was still one of their top selling titles from last year but the video game industry can be a fickle bitch. Enough of that and let's see what we can maybe look forward to in Far Cry's future. Read More...

Play As Hideo Kojima In Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
PC Modders have made it so you can play as Hideo Kojima in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes' core gameplay as well as the side missions available I knew it would only be a matter of time before Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on the PC received it first fun mod for the game. In this instance it looks like you can now play all of Ground Zeroes as the mastermind behind the whole thing: Hideo Kojima. If you don't know who that is then why are you even reading this text? He happens to be the creator of the franchise as well as notorious troll for fans of all of his games. Read More...

New Year And New Things To Do In Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
There is a New Year's trailer for Dying Light and we have a bit more gameplay and features shown off with it It's a new year and it is time for some new stuff for Dying Light. Well at least in a fun little way of New Year's resolutions and a bit of extra gameplay. We are now under a month from release of Dying Light so hopefully we are going to get something to add to the parkour zombie killing fun coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If we are to speculate on the following trailer we could be getting some simple little side games outside of the core. If the above image and the following trailer are to be believed for Dying Light then are we going to get some fishing action in the mix? Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
In an early copy of a Finnish magazine it has been confirmed that Kung Lao will be joining the roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat X Just like the Kano "leak" for Mortal Kombat X it looks like print media has given us a look at Kung Lao before the official announcement from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. may have wanted. This magazine being a Finnish gaming magazine, Pelaaja, and thus translated by a Mortal Kombat fan site for us all. Read More...

This Is What The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Looks Like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
New screenshots for the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta on the Xbox One have been placed online for those who are not in the beta yet If you are part of the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta then none of what you are about to see is going to be all that exciting. In fact you may want to move on as you have seen all of the footage live and in play already; hopefully. For everyone else then we have a bunch of new screenshots from 343 Industries to show everyone who has yet to pre-order Halo 5: Guardians or turned on the beta what they may be missing out on. Although it seems odd to think that anyone who would have access to the Halo 5: Guardians would not have been balls deep in it just yet… To be honest it looks just as we all would have thought Halo 5: Guardians to have looked. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was delayed but that doesn't mean we don't have a nice look at the steelbook covers coming for the game from CD Projekt RED We all may have to wait a bit longer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to finally come to our homes but that doesn't mean we won't have some pretty things to look at while we wait. In fact if you direct your gaze down below you will be able to see all of those variant Steelbook covers for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Could Final Fantasy XV Have Online Components?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Speculation over Final Fantasy XV having online game components have arisen based on a job posting from Square Enix So it may be a bit of a stretch but it looks like the latest in Final Fantasy XV speculation is that there will be some kind of online component for the game. This all comes from Anime News Network scrounging for anything based on a job posting from Square Enix directly. It is a contract job that sounds pretty much like someone who would be needed to keep the web based interactions, like the Facebook notifications, flowing but others have chosen to dig in deeper with a meaning that most likely will never see the light of day on the PS4 and Xbox One. If this isn't for just some kind of social aspect for Final Fantasy XV it could be looked at as something to do with DLC or micro-transactions of some sort. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Wait no longer as here are the free games coming to PlayStation Plus January 2015. Happy New Year to us all Just like that blasted Christmas week we are back to scraping the bottom of the barrel for news and here we have the free games for PlayStation Plus in 2015. The New Year's week is just as bad as ever for any hard hitting news and updates for the video game world. It sucks but at least you have us here to try and keep you informed as much as we can and this time it is for all of you playing the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita as long as Sony can keep the PSN up and running. But that is a whole different issue now. Read More...

Being Chicken In Metal Gear Solid V Can Be A Bonus In Disguise
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 10:01 PM ]
Over the Christmas holiday it was announced that there will be a chicken hat addition to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to make the game easier for those having trouble If you are a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid and looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V then you were probably one of those people who sat around with Hideo Kojima on Christmas day while he opened presents, talked films, and then trolled everyone looking for a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. To be fair, you all should have been having a good time with your families instead of watching someone who's culture doesn't celebrate the holiday do what he does best. That would be giving you just a little bit of something new so you don't loathe him but not really give you a thing you really want. Read More...

Not Everyone Will Be Summoning In Final Fantasy XV
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
New Final Fantasy XV screenshots and battle system details have emerged that explain that only Noctis will be able to use summons If reports are correct then the current state of the Final Fantasy XV will have it so only one of the party can call upon summons during battle. That character being Noctis and those reports coming out of an interview between Famitsu and game director Hajime Tabata. Of course this isn't too strange given the past of the Final Fantasy franchise as having only one character be able to summon isn't new. So there is not that when it comes to all things Final Fantasy XV when we look at the battle systems. Read More...

We've collected some of the random virtual Christmas Cards and holiday well wishes from developers and publishers for you Ho ho homicide has to have been one of the best Christmas greetings I have yet to see from a video game studio or publisher this holiday season and I've seen quite a few over the last few days. Tis the season that all of those who make our favorite form of media to try and give back to all of those who keep their families fed. Or at least try to for those who are most likely going to cry and whine to their parents if they didn't get the latest Blizzard expansion or the pre-orders for all of those games coming out next year. Time For A Naughty Dog History Lesson
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Naughty Dog is celebrating their 30th anniversary and the developer and PlayStation have a nice video to help educate you on where they came from If you just thought to yourself "I don't need a history lesson for Naughty Dog" then you are most likely the largest fan of the developer or you're an employee of theirs. They have had a long 30 year run that has been pushed and promoted pretty much all year. Now we get it pushed again as we have a nice long history lesson that shows you a 50 minute recap of where Naughty Dog started and are going here in the coming years. Read More...

Karma Is A Bitch In The Latest Battlefield Hardline Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Battlefield Hardline has a new trailer and with that a whole slew of new gameplay to try and spin the game's core narrative into a positive light Looks like we have a new trailer for Battlefield Hardline from EA and Visceral Games to look at over the holiday week. Just like the story trailer we had earlier in the month it looks like this one also follows more of the narrative and to the un-savvy viewer it looks like it is trying to push more of the positive spin that the police force needs in these current times. Maybe it is just me but the words non-lethal and rescues seem to get placed more prominent than all of the violence that will be taking place in Battlefield Hardline when we get it. It's a good move in my opinion and I hope it does the job to distance the game from the real world events people are connecting them all to. Read More...
