by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Spider-Man A new prequel novel for the upcoming Spider-Man game has been announced that should give those who read it a bit more insight on where Spider-Man and the world will be starting There is more going on in Spider-Man than many may have thought before as the game takes place well into Peter's career as the web-slinger. This we have heard ad nauseam since we first saw the game was coming from Insomniac Games. It is not an origin story at all, but of course there had to be somewhere that this version of the character started out and led up to the action we will be seeing and experiencing on September 7th. More in the how Kratos has evolved as a character kind of way and no other changes to the franchise that Santa Monica Studio has for us. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 16th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Kingdom Hearts A few new mini-games for Kingdom Hearts III have been shown off at a the recent Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] Dandelion Meeting While it may not be the biggest news for Kingdom Hearts III, it looks like we have a look at some of the new mini-games that will be making the hop into the game here when it releases sometime this year on the PS4 and Xbox One. It is a small thing, indeed, but seeing Square Enix just kind of dropped this update as a surprise, we will take it. That all said, it looks like Kingdom Hearts III will be home to a few Game & Watch-style mini-games that Sora and crew can enjoy on their mobile devices in-game. Read More...

Spider-Man’s Combat Works A Bit Different Than Many Of Us Have Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Spider-Man New gameplay for Spider-Man is here and it shows us a little more on how the combat system in Spider-Man will play out and work It is time to blow some of those preconceived notions on how the combat in Spider-Man is actually going to play out and handle. Way back when the game was first announced and shown off, it looks like a very tried and true method to combat was something that Insomniac Games was going to use. More or less, it looks a lot like the way it all worked in the Arkham titles, which all were really solid gameplay mechanics. While it may have looked that way, we are here to tell you that it is not going to be that way exactly for Spider-Man as he is obviously a different kind of fighter and uses many other things to his benefit in a fight. They are offered up by the dev team for a reason and they are there to make the whole experience a bit more challenging. Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption’s Release Has Been Pushed Back A Bit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Sinner The release date for Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption has been pushed back but at least gamers on the Switch will have the chance to give Sinner a play If you were gearing up to play Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption on April 25th here…then you may want to put the brakes on that. It looks like the game is no longer hitting that date and will now be looking at a Q3 2018 release date to get in on this new Boss Battler title with a twist Dark Star Games and Another Indie are working on. That seems like quite the delay for a game that was supposed to land just a few weeks from now. The bigger reason given for the delay is that it will now be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch all at the same time. Read More...

Overkill’s The Walking Dead Next Character Is Here To Break Hearts
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The next character for Overkill’s The Walking Dead game has a new trailer to see and it shows another darker side in the world of The Walking Dead It is time to add another character to Overkill’s The Walking Dead and here we go with Maya. Just like the last character that we were shown from Overkill, it is all done through a very cinematic manner and not through any real gameplay to look at. Not that I am going to complain as this one certainly embodies The Walking Dead universe with another tragic survival story told without any words but actions. More or less, the backstory of Maya that we can look to experience when we get to finally play the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this Fall. Read More...

Get Ready For A Lot Of Intense Web Swinging In Spider-Man
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Spider-Man A new interview for the upcoming Spider-Man title is out there and we get some further insight on just how Spider-Man’s web swinging will flow If for some reason you were worried about how the web swinging was going to work in Spider-Man or if it was going to be some weird thing that the team did not focus on, then you can place some of those concerns aside. I do not know who you would be out there as almost everyone has had strong faith in Insomniac Games doing right by the fans with the game; I just know you were out there. Nonetheless, we have a new look at just how this aspect of Spider-Man will work in the game and it definitely impresses as it looks to use more of the real-world physics to do just what we want. God Of War Will Have You Playing Your Version Of Kratos
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of April 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War A new developer diary for God Of War is here to show a bit more the customization in God Of War and how it affects gameplay When the pre-order options for God Of War started to pop up we all had our first look at how we may be able to customize Kratos in the new game hitting us on April 20th. At first, it all looked cosmetic and a nice little extra to change up Kratos' look as Santa Monica Studio has done in past titles. Then it was revealed that there was going to be more than just a little bit of style and look with this "gear system" in God Of War and that there would be some kind of change outside of just cosmetic. God Of War’s May Also Be A Bit Different Than We Knew Before
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War The new God Of War is bringing many changes to the franchise and here is how the score for God Of War has been changed up to give more authenticity One of the things that God Of War has always been known for, outside of the insane violence to the Gods, has been the score and music that accompanies the game. It sets the mood in many cases or emphasizes what Santa Monica Studio was going for in the scene. Think back to any version of the God Of War franchise and I think you will be hard-pressed to find a scene that did not have some level of music with it to set the mood. Read More...
