Splatterhouse's Rick Is More Bad Ass Than Wolverine

If you don't believe the title, look at the new set of visuals for Splatterhouse. These screen shots show off a bit on how the "Health" meter of Splatterhouse will be visually shown on Rick. As he gets hurt the character model changes as appropriate. Not to major of new news there but it is something that has been seen this up close and personal. I mean these lacerations and complete loss of flesh look rather realistic, at least for the game's style. So how does this make Rick more bad ass? Read More...

Those humans still wandering the devastated, in this case, America either spend their time hiding from the still active killing machines or slavers rounding them all up. DC Universe Online Delayed Till 2011

According to the latest announcement from SOE and DC Universe, they have decided to delay the release of DC Universe Online in order to address a lot of the community Feedback. There is currently no new release date for DC Universe Online; all we know is that it's coming sometime early 2011. So what does this mean for the beta? Well since the game is getting pushed back, players that have those VIP Key cards, or signed up on the website for beta access can see invites going out as early as next week. This is a general queue though and will be on a priority basis, so if you don't get in keep your fingers crossed and watch your e-mail, you might get lucky. Read More...

Dungeon Seige III Gameplay Trailer Released

What a way to kick off the Labor Day weekend! With PAX currently going on, there's going to be a lot of great stuff coming out of the convention and the first thing we get to kick off this holiday weekend is the new Dungeon Siege III Game play Trailer from Square Enix and Obsidian Entertainment. I have now watched this trailer three times and I still don't know what to say. We see a warrior type character and a caster archetype showing off the hack 'n' slash style game play we've come to expect from this dungeon crawler. I Can't Live Because Of You NCSoft

Craig Smallwood from Hawaii will soon be a name that will be in gaming news for a while. Why? Wired.com has reported that Craig has filed a lawsuit against NCSoft. What for you may ask? Craig claims that NCSoft â€œacted negligently in failing to warn or instruct or adequately warn or instruct plaintiff and other players of Lineage II of its dangerous and defective characteristics, and of the safe and proper method of using the game.â€ Wahhhhh? Splatterhouse Goes All Retro Style... In A Good Way

If I have not dropped enough hints yet, let it be explicitly known that I am not a big fan of the "retro" game look in modern times. I see it as a way for companies to milk gamers who don't have a better head on their shoulders so they can pretend to be gaming back when they first started. Gamers put money in the companies' pocket so they may play a game they've very likely played a billion times already. *cough* Golden Eye *cough* So when I heard that the most recent Splatterhouse trailer coming out of Gamescom showed off the retro look of the title, I was a bit pissed and extremely concerned. Torchlight II Teaser Causing Salivation

With the crazy amount of news coming out of Gamescom this year, even a little teaser trailer of the recently announced Torchlight 2 is generating plenty of buzz. Besides showing some outdoor environments, there really isn't a whole lot shown here, but the teaser did absolutely everything it needed to accomplish - raise the level of excitement and anticipation. Obsidian Entertainment Developing Next Dungeon Siege

It's been a while since I was truly excited about a game announcement, but this one is pretty exciting! Dungeon Siege 3 has been announced for NOT ONLY PC, but XBox 360 and PS3 as well. According to the press release, Dungeon Siege 3 will have Square Enix (Final Fantasy) on board as Editor, and Obsidian Entertainment (Neverwinter Nights 2, Knights Of The Old Republic) as the Developer, with Gas Powered Games (Dungeon Siege 1/2, Supreme Commander 1/2) supervising the whole process.
