Dungeon Siege III is a little more than two months away and I can hardly contain my excitement. We recently got a video highlighting the latest ally that will be available in game and this girl is fierce. Katarina Vignette is a ranged death dealing machine and the third ally to be announced. Trained in the ways of nomads, she uses Guns, Magic and a black hound to pretty much eviscerate her enemies. The 10th legion did well when they recruited her. A time depicted and twisted for Game Republic and Namco Bandai's most recent endeavor, Knights Contract. In Knights Contract you play Heinrich Hofmann, an experienced witch-executioner plagued by a curse of immortality, who charged with the task of protecting a witch by the name of Gretchen as she attempts to save the world. The submission period for this year's Into The Pixel exhibit is now open and will be open until April 15th. I don't know what it is about trailers like the one below for [Prototype 2], but I find them fun even though they don't really show off much. I think it is the violent content set to easy listening music that I find just awesomely funny. That's a word isn't it? Awesomely. It is for my purposes now if you don't think it is. Oozing with intensity, the trailer showcases epic fights against dragons, immense/diverse scenery and a score that is sure to make your heart flat-line. Ok, so you could really do it in the first [Prototype] but in [Prototype 2] it looks to have been super charged in the new "teaser" that has made its way to the web. It may not be showing much but the game is still a least a year out from launch so what do you expect Radical Entertainment to give us? I mean we should all be surprised that there is a sequel coming out in the first place given the actions of Activision lately. Just like the announcement of Chris Hemsworth voicing Thor in the movie tie-in game of the same name, it looks like Chris Evans is doing the same for Cap. in Captain America: Super Soldier. So just like the Transformers Game, Green Lantern is getting the same treatment with a video game tie-in. A game nicely titled Green Lantern: Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters and looks to be as tied to the film in every way but overall story. At least the below trailer would lead me to believe that it takes place somewhere mid-way or after the story the upcoming film will have. Here check it out. Maybe it is just me, but I am looking forward to Knights Contract. So here is a title that has seemed to fall through the cracks of my press releases. The game is called Inversion and it is being developed by Saber Interactive and Namco. Maybe because it was suppose to come out sometime last year and then got pushed under a rug. Maybe it is because things have been silent since GamesCom 2010 and a 2011 delay announced. I don't know, but it is now slated to hit selves February 7th 2012 and from what is being shown right now, the game has snagged a bit of my attention. Well look what just popped up in my inbox, new Dungeon Siege III screens and some good looking game play video. It was only last week that Square Enix announced an official release date. Let the countdown begin. The coming battle for the Kingdom of Ehb draws near! For those of you that need a little refresher Dungeon Siege III is the continuation of the Dungeon Siege franchise from Gas Powered Games, except this time it's being brought to you by Square Enix and Obsidian Entertainment, two well known names in the RPG gaming world. With less than 24 hours until the latest Rift Beta ends, Trion Worlds releases its latest three minute cinematic trailer and it looks great. If you haven't heard about Rift yet this is the latest MMO from Trion Worlds coming out March 1st 2011. Rift pits the religion vs. technology in an epic war between two factions, the Guardians and the Defiants. Now we've seen that formula more than once but the kicker here is while you're busy fighting each other another war wages on from the skies as Rifts randomly open around the world and dump big baddies all over the ground to make your life miserable. Ok, so I might have to eat my previous words about the reboot for Tomb Raider. I may have been a bit quick to judge but in my defense that was back before anything real or tangible had been seen. I mean all we had was a rather unimpressive description of the story. Well now we have a good look at the new vision that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix are taking the game. I will have to say I am extremely impressed with what we have here. So here we are a week out from the launch of DC Universe Online and considerable time has been spent tweaking and fixing bugs in the beta, both on PC and PS3. I had the chance to be a part of the beta, along with all of you PSPlus subscribers or those lucky to have swagged a code to get in.
