Here's Why You Should Pre-Order Street Fighter V
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The pre-order bonuses for Street Fighter V have been revealed as well as a nice new Collector's Edition for Street Fighter V Is there a triple 'A' title that isn't going to have a collector's edition? It looks like we can add Street Fighter V into the mix there for another game that will be getting a bigger and badder bundle for the game. At least the Street Fighter V one is only slated at being a cheaper $99.99 USD and is coming with pretty much the basics of a CE as of late. Read More...

Street Fighter V Bringing More Butt-Slams With R. Mika
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
R. Mika, or Rainbow Mika, is back for Street Fighter V and it looks like she is bringing more than just something Sir Mix-A-Lot would love in Street Fighter V Now that the Street Fighter V beta is underway, and going well from what I hear, it looks like it is time to bring out yet another fighter that will be gracing the scene when it comes to the PC and PS4. In fact it looks like Capcom is going into the Wayback Machine to pull this one up as it looks like we are getting a character that has been MIA since 1998. The character here being R. Read More...

The Street Fighter V North American Stress Test Starts
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2015 - 09:02 PM ]
The stress test for the latest Street Fighter V beta build in the North American region begins this week for all those Street Fighter fans Talk about one hell of a turnaround as it looks like the Street Fighter V "beta" stress test for the North American region is upon us sooner than speculated. In fact by the time some of you are reading this Capcom will have turned on the flood gates for all of those PC and PS4 gamers to try and bring down the Street Fighter V servers. Not via hacking or anything but by sheer amount of players trying to beat each other down over their network and in the game. I hope no one gets any wise ideas here as this Street Fighter V "beta" has been trying to get rolled out for some time now and it looks like the wait is over…for now. Read More...

Looks Like The Street Fighter V Beta Is Back
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
The 'indefinitely' canceled Street Fighter V beta test looks to be back on in the form of a stress test in your region soon If you were over joyed to get in on the Street Fighter V beta test only to be let down when it was terminated then it is time for you to get over joyed again as it looks like it is coming back to a region near you as soon as today. Yes, it looks like Capcom is going to try it again this time in the say of "Stress Test" starting in Europe and then moving out to North America and Asia if all is successful. Then a global test for Street Fighter V sometime after all of that if things go smooth on all sides. Read More...

The PlayStation Experience Is Coming Back & To A New Location
by Julia Schoebel [ Friday, 14th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
PlayStation Sony has announced that the PlayStation Experience will be happening again only this time the PlayStation Experience will be in San Francisco Given the success of last year's PlayStation Experience it would be a bit daft to think that it wouldn't be making a huge comeback this year. For the uneducated this would be Sony's huge PlayStation "Fan Fest" of sorts to show off all their new and current IPs, hardware, and ideas coming to their platforms. Seeing as they didn't make a big push for anything sans the Morpheus at E3 and other conventions we can most likely expect the PlayStation Experience to only show off items for the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and the like but who knows? Maybe Sony will have some kind of huge surprise just for this event here and no one but they know at this time. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/3/15 — 8/7/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games As Gamescom comes to a warp here we too come to wrap up another week in video games. There was so much to take in for this week we didn't get a chance to cover most things that cropped up for the industry at all. We tried our damnedest to do so but we are still just a small and fierce team. When the likes of Rock Band 4, Mad Max, and Final Fantasy XV are hammering us with so much it is hard to cover all video games out there or in the works. Hells, there was also a whole lot of Metal Gear Solid V that was handed out and we were only able to cover so little on it even though it was a huge thing. Read More...

Faith Is Restored With New Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for Mirror's Edge Catalyst was shown off at Gamescom 2015 and it shows us all that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be the reboot to the franchise we've wanted When I first heard that Mirror's Edge Catalyst was going to be a reboot of sorts for the franchise I was a little worried as I didn't think it needed a reboot. After my experience with it at E3 I was calmed down a little as it looked like DICE was going in the right direction even if it felt more like an expansion to the world and not a new title. After seeing what EA had to present for Mirror's Edge Catalyst during Gamescom here I think my worries are now pretty much faded away as even if it isn't going to be coined a sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst is exactly what I was hoping for back when it was called Mirror's Edge 2. Vega's Beauty Will Intoxicate Us In Street Fighter V Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Looks like Street Fighter V will be hosting the fighting prowess of Vega again as he has been announced for Street Fighter V now As if we had much doubt that Vega would be making a return in Street Fighter V. If you did though you can remove all that doubt as it looks like Vega will be back and Capcom has added in a few new twists to the character to aid in keeping the character in line with Street Fighter V and still be a viable fighter when the game hits the PS4 and PC sometime next year. Don't worry though; this Spanish "ninja" still has his grace, beauty, and claws that magically don't kill a single person when struck. It's not like the characters of Street Fighter V could honestly live through a Jason Voorhees and Wolverine hybrid in a real all out street brawl. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
News about the DOOM multiplayer beta and alpha have come out of QuakeCon 2015 as well as a few new looks at the gameplay for DOOM It would make sense that out of QuakeCon we would get some new information for DOOM wouldn't it? It is one of the larger showcasing of Bethesda's titles and we all know DOOM is going to try and make a huge splash when it finally launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hells, DOOM helped do wonders to get the pre-orders for Wolfenstein: The New Order to spike among those who were not willing to take a chance. This was of course to the fact that id Software was offering beta access to the DOOM multiplayer with the pre-order and TNO turned out to be an amazing game. Read More...

SDCC Experience — The Walking Dead Escape 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of July 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape Was Back At SDCC Giving All Of Us A Feel For What A Survival Horror Game Really Feels Like Another SDCC down and another fun run of The Walking Dead Escape to show us all how a survival horror kind of game could be like in the real world. If this is your first time reading about The Walking Dead Escape this would be the zombie obstacle course that has been set up out in San Diego's Petco Park for the fourth year running. Pun intended. The quick breakdown, if you don't want to read our original write up, is that you get grouped together with a small group of other "Runners" and then set loose to get from one end of a set up obstacle course to the other all while a group of other paid participants dressed as the "Walkers" try to corner you and end your life. Street Fighter V Gets Another New & Savage Character At EVO
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
During EVO 2015 a new character for Street Fighter V was shown to the world as well as a bit more of Street Fighter V's gameplay EVO took place over the last weekend and what would it be without a nice new Street Fighter V update for us all? It would be doing us all a disservice given the fact that Capcom had some of the larger titles there and Street Fighter V is the next major iteration to the franchise. Even if Xbox One players don't get to experience it and everything. Remember Street Fighter V is a PS4 and PC only title this time around. Read More...

Doctor Who Joins LEGO Dimensions At SDCC 2015
by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 9th of July 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
The first official trailer showing Doctor Who in LEGO Dimensions has been shown to the world at SDCC 2015 and it is a great fit for LEGO Dimensions We all knew that Doctor Who was coming for LEGO Dimensions and it was a safe assumption that he was going to be bringing all of the quirkiness and monstrosities that come with the Doctor. Now we get to see them in action for the first time as TT Games has released the first official look and trailer at the character(s) in LEGO Dimensions and it is just about what you would think it would be. For now this is the closest that most are going to get to having a Doctor Who game on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Wii U. Read More...

The Walking Dead Getting A Live Performance At SDCC 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Select scenes from The Walking Dead's season one from Telltale is getting the live performance treatment at SDCC 2015 As if there wasn't going to be a shortage on The Walking Dead at SDCC this year it looks like Telltale Games' video game is going to get the liver performance treatment and you can watch it right here. Granted you can't watch it until Saturday (7/11) at 8:00pm PST but if you can't make it out to San Diego to see it and what Skybound has to offer us all. I have a feeling that this will be a lot like the same event that was held for The Last Of Us only with the The Walking Dead being the story and those character/actors doing all of the work. The Dead Rise Again At SDCC With The Walking Dead Escape
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape is back at SDCC 2015 giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like in the world of The Walking Dead Looks like the SDCC tradition just keeps going as The Walking Dead Escape is making its return again to SDCC 2015. This would be the live action, survival horror experience set in the world of The Walking Dead that graced Petco Park back in 2012 and has been going strong ever since. The only difference this year is it would seem that this video game-like experience is being brought to life even more not with just the TV show but also it sounds like the other media platforms and versions are making a show during The Walking Dead Escape. Notably one of the best characters from the franchise; Negan. Read More...
