Square Enix Announces Another Kingdom Hearts Appetizer

PAX East Panel: Red5 Studios

This past PAX East 2013 I was lucky enough to be seated in a room with several other members of the press and general attendees to hear about all things Red5. Let's first talk about Red5's Firefall. I first got to play and look at Firefall at last year's PAX East. The game is still in beta and being constantly worked on and taking serious looks at what the fans want in the game. The Thunder King Is Coming To World Of Warcraft

Blizzard has just released a cinematic trailer for the upcoming patch of World of Warcraft, called "The Thunder King." Killer Is Dead Trailer

The guys over at Grasshopper Manufacture have released the first trailer for their upcoming game titled Killer Is Dead. The trailer features a lot of blood and a lot of Japanese language. Thankfully there are subtitles. Killer is Dead is about a thirty-five year old assassin named "Mondo Zappa." Mondo works for an undercover organization called "Brian Execution Firm." Under The Radar: Painkiller HD

The original 2004 PC classic known only as Painkiller has received the HD treatment. I'm not talking the "crappy HD" kind either. Announced back at this year's E3, the HD remake of Painkiller is out right now! for PC. XBox 360 and PS3 owners are going to have to duke it out for another couple of months as their versions will be available come January 22nd, 2013. I loved the original Painkiller with its tons of insane, over-the-top weapons, like the Stake Launcher or the double barreled Shotgun with a liquid nitrogen alt fire. I spent many hours pushing my crappy desktop PC to its limits and beyond while playing Painkiller and every single moment was worth it. Read More...

Naughty Bear Is Back And Showing Off Game Play

Over two years ago Naughty Bear hit consoles to a rather mediocre reception. I for one enjoyed the idea and concept but there was room for improvement. So I was a bit shocked to hear that there was another title in the franchise coming this year. Hopefully the team over at Behaviour Interactive has taken their time to polish up franchise a bit. Lollipop Chainsaw Has Some Crazy Threesome Action

PAX East Hands-On: Lollipop Chainsaw

During PAX East I got to get some playtime with Lollipop Chainsaw and interviewed the legendary Suda 51. Lollipop Chainsaw had some very smooth and tight controls, chaining attacks between kicking and swinging the chainsaw was simple enough to button mash if you wish, but at the same time complex enough to satisfy those who frown upon the mashing of buttons. The demo started off in a farm-like area, where some good ol' zombies popped up and begged for me to slay them (not really, but I could tell they were asking for it). Every time zombies pop up there is a counter on-screen that tells you exactly how many are there and need to kill. Read More...

Top 5 Items Pushed Into 2012

As 2011 comes to a close, it's easy to point out that once again the games industry has had an incredible year of releases. So many in fact, it would be simple to say that games pushed in to 2012 are okay because we already have so much to play. While I do not necessarily disagree with that statement, I think about the games already slated for next year that I want to play - i.e. BioShock Infinite, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Tomb Raider and XCOM - and I'm wondering when I will find the time to get into the things that were pushed back from 2011. Epic Fail

It was a sweltering summer afternoon, my friend Curt and I were sheltered by an air conditioner on full blast. Inside our sanctuary we spent countless days acquiring callouses and sores on our thumbs as we played endlessly the games of our childhood. So I saw something this week that not very many people get to see these days. I saw the future. A specific future if you really want to get technical. I saw the future of EVE Online and it looks amazing. Check out the video below! You probably are sitting there with your mouth open, thinking to yourself "what the hell did I just watch?" You know for a game that was not as widely accepted, outside of a small cult following, you would think that 505 Games and A2M would have moved on to another IP. But I guess it looks like Naughty Bear finally balled up and took them on to make his game even better.
