A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There goes another fun week in video games in the bag now. Again it had its high and its lows but we made it through. Of course that did mean that we had to watch as Uncharted 4 got hit with yet another delay and only a few sparse details for Vampyr. It did also mean that we got to see more cool kills for Friday The 13th: The Game and a huge collector's edition for Homefront: the Revolution get announced. Like I said, it had its highs and it had its lows. Read More...

Dying Light is getting even larger now as now with Dying Light: The Following we are getting four community maps to all of the platforms and not just PC Just when you thought that Dying Light: The Following couldn't get any larger on all platforms it looks like it is. Maybe you remember back when Techland offered up the developer tools to the PC community and modders went crazy making some awesome stuff? Remember when people like me speculated on if the console players would ever get to see these new maps being built? If you do or you don't it doesn't matter as it looks like Dying Light on the PS4 and Xbox One are now going to be getting some of these maps and we have the first four to look at. Read More...

Paragon is heading to an early access stage and players can give Paragon or pay to make sure they keep all of their progress when the game fully launches The beta for Paragon is still going strong but it looks like there is a need for more players to access and help shape the game into what they want. Due to the latter there is looks like Epic Games is now taking Paragon into and 'Early Access' state where players will be able to pay to gain access but the bonus being that they won't lose anything when all is said and done. That and they will gain a whole lot of little extras to show off that they helped make this the MOBA to play on the PC and PS4. Read More...

The last two characters for Battleborn have been revealed and now we know the full launch roster of heroes coming to Battleborn and their moves The final two characters for Battleborn have now been revealed and we can take in all of the 25 launch badasses coming to the game. Of course we finish off with these two as they are described as the most absurd that Gearbox has put together for the game. A luchador and an old robotics genius who is too lazy to do a thing. Sounds about right for Battleborn given all of the other characters in there already. Read More...

The first expansions and updates for The Division have been announced and all part of the recently announced Season Pass for The Division We all knew that The Division was going to be getting a Season Pass and that it was going to be coming with at least three expansions for the game. It wouldn't be an Ubisoft title if it didn't have some form of DLC to entice gamers to drop more cash. As it is releasing next week, March 8th, it was looking like all we were going to be hearing about in detail was the first expansion and then we would have to wait and see what was coming for The Division. Two more gameplay trailers for Mirror's Edge Catalyst have been release and the both emphasize on the huge improvements from Mirror's Edge on combat and movement More gameplay for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has seeped out into the world and is ready for our digestion. This time we get to see how DICE perfected the combat and movement aspects of the game from where they once were. Not that there was a huge issue on any of the in my book but as long as EA is paying for it they might as well make some improvements. We wouldn't want to pay for something that we already had right? The rumors were true as Dead Island Definitive Collection has been announced and will be bringing the original Dead Island titles to the current gen systems Here we go with another rumor that proved to be true as the Dead Island Definitive Collection has been announced for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Rumors of this bundle started to pop up a while ago but then there was no word from Deep Silver on any validity to it all. Now we are seeing Techland's two great installments into the zombie world, before their current magnum opus, coming out yet again with new textures and upgraded to their new game engine. Read More...

After a nice little alpha demo of NightCry it looks like the development team is prepping for a Spring release for NightCry on the PC Last year we were able to see that NightCry was funded and in the works from Nude Maker studios. There was a lot of rejoice as many, myself included, loved the Clock Tower games that this was game was going to be building off even if it wasn't a direct sequel. As Kickstarter campaigns go of course we were all updated with a few things during the time of success and now and if some of those backers had been keeping a close eye they would have seen a nice little alpha slice of NightCry to have been played all last month. It looks like things went well and the feedback that was given was helpful as it looks like the PC build of NightCry is now well on its way to release in the next few months. Read More...

A new trailer for Hitman has been released and it shows off how large the maps of the first two missions of Hitman will be as well as diverse Since Hitman is just about a week out from launch it looks like it is time to beat the dead horse again in terms of how large the maps are going to be in the game. This has been something that Io Interactive has been touting since the first time we heard they were making another addition into the franchise and it is back yet again. The real bonus here being that the Season Premiere trailer for Hitman does give us another look and the maps do look rather large based on all of that. Read More...

Looks like Rock Band 4 could be headed to the PC platform as a new Fig campaign has been opened to complete development on Rock Band 4 for PC Rock Band 4 hit the PS4 and Xbox One only a few months ago and people questioned why we were not seeing it on the PC as the main competitor was hitting all of the platforms out there. Harmonix quickly rebuffed those claims with the reasons of piracy and not placing the game on a PC platform was the only way to negate that issue. Well it seems that was only a placeholder answer as now we may see Rock Band 4 land on the PC as they are looking for funding to bring it there. Read More...

The big collector's edition for Homefront: The Revolution has been revealed and it comes with a drone inspired by Homefront that you can use at home The release of Homefront: The Revolution is still a ways out as it is still set from May 17th and you still may be on the fence about picking up a copy. It happens and that usually leads publishers like Deep Silver to throw together some great bonus editions of their games like they have here with the Goliath Edition for the next entry into the Homefront franchise. It really looks like the way that we are going to want to play Dambuster Studios' creation as it will let us take some of the action off the screen and into our homes. Read More...

A new gameplay mode for Umbrella Corps has been shown off and it adds a bit of extra randomness to the Umbrella Corps mix Another new mode for Umbrella Corps has been unveiled and from the sounds of it this could be seen as multiple new modes. In fact it is called the 'Multi Mission' mode and it is the second major mode that Capcom has unveiled for us all for the game. Only more to come before Umbrella Corps launches in May for the PS4 and PC. But let us focus on this new mode that now joins the 'One Life Mode' already announced. Read More...

Two new videos for The Division have been released to show just how the PC version of The Division will blow minds and eyes away By now you have hopefully had a chance to give The Division a quick little run around via the most recent beta. Or at least by now you should know that the game is going to be really pretty on all the platforms it is hitting on March 8th. Yes, Ubisoft went out of the way to make The Division look good on the PS4 and Xbox One and not just leave it to the PC gamers out there to have the best experience possible. At least best in terms of visuals and how one can be transported into New York City after the fall of society. Read More...

New screenshot for Vampyr have been released and they show off only a little bit more of Vampyr than we all knew was coming Yes Vampyr is still in production and still slated to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2017. It was a very silent announcement from Dontnod back when wind was first pick up for it but as Focus Home Interactive has been doing over the last few days we are getting another push and another reminder that the game is coming. This time though we are getting more screenshots for Vampyr and not just a quick reminder to keep us all salivating for more as the title may imply. At least for you blood suckers out there.
