Super Boise Games developed the title in an attempt to make light of a very sensitive subject in current events. Crisis in the Gulf highlights tower defense style game play where you place ships armed with cannons, lasers and torpedoes in an attempt to stop the leak by destroying the quickly rising oil. During game play a little ticker at the top of the screen, gives you hilarious, fake news bulletins all brought to you by your local "DNN" channel.
