A console release for the horror title Asylum is on the way to us so more gamers can play Asylum this coming Halloween
After a solid run on the PC, it looks as if more of us will have a chance to see the horrors that Asylum has behind its doors. That is, we have a release date for the game with Senscape and SOEDESCO getting the game ready for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch this coming Halloween. Well, more just slightly before, as this version of Asylum will be landing on October 30th. Just in time to give us all a few more spooks for the big day, as well as give us something to experience as the nights start to get a bit longer out there. At least for those of us who still need to fall back with the clocks over the fun weekend we're going to have. I'm excited, and now you can see just what will be coming in a month from now.
Since Asylum is now opening up for many more gamers who might have missed out on it, let's dig into what it actually is. It's a psychological horror title where we play as a former patient who has come back to the grounds to face some of the lingering visions still in our head. From there, we'll find ourselves back inside the Hanwell Mental Institute, facing down all manner of terror and history that we've had with this place. Asylum will also have us roaming about looking for clues and solving puzzles as the current inmates are going to try to do bad things to us. Unless this is all in our head out there and we're still dealing with things in the facility. Any of that could be the case, and we'll all have to see which it is when the game launches out there one more time for us all. Asylum — Console Release Date
Just in time for Halloween, SOEDESCO and developer Senscape are thrilled to announce that Asylum will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on October 30.
Following its well-received PC debut in 2025, Asylum currently holds a Very Positive user rating on Steam and is now ready to open the doors of the Hanwell Mental Institute to console players.
Asylum puts players in the role of a former patient plagued by disturbing visions. As they explore the institute, players will search for clues, confront unsettling discoveries, and gradually piece together the truth behind the mysterious events that took place within its walls.
With about 10 hours of gameplay, this first-person horror adventure combines immersive exploration with challenging puzzles, an unsettling atmosphere, and mysteries waiting to be uncovered.
