Metroid
The Metroid series lives on, as we have the official announcement out there for Metroid Ravenous next year
Samus is back, as we now have Metroid Ravenous to look forward to hitting the Switch 2 in the very near future. That's not just hyperbole, but also the fact that Mercury Steam and Nintendo not only made the announcement, but also gave us all a release date to see when our bounty hunter was taking back to the job out there with her arm cannon. It was such a massive day for us all out there as fans of Metroid, as all of this comes along with a new bit of gameplay to hype us all up for the January 28th release date. A date that also brings with it some other physical fun for the IP for those who want to shell out just a little more to enjoy the game. Let's all have a look.
As it all comes to Metroid Ravenous, this is another in the line of games that are taking on the 2D style of things for the IP. Even if the visuals do make it look as if it is more of a 3D game just running on the side-scrolling axis. Not a terrible thing, as that is one of the things that made this IP so amazing back in the day. In addition to all of that, it looks as if Samus will be getting a similar arsenal to play around with, and all of the usual special moves that we're going to need to upgrade and perfect along the way. Just like all of the great Metroid titles over the decades. This one just has a little bit of a different look and feel, but that is just using the new hardware as we'd all expect. I'll stop keeping you from seeing the gameplay in action, but it does feel as if we're getting back to the basics of what made this title so good in the first place. Not to mention adding a deeper story to it all for us to enjoy and dig deeper into.
