High On Life
The world of High On Life is coming to life once again with the reveal of High On Life VR, giving us the same bit of fun
The virtual space is going to show us more of why our world sucks, as we are getting High On Life VR on the PSVR2, Steam VR, and Meta systems. Not any time soon, as this is just a reveal from Squanch Games and Flat2VR Studios, but it is now coming. So, for those who enjoyed all of the humor and gunplay from before, it is time to start looking at getting some of that hardware if you do not have it already. Especially as High On Life VR does seem like it is going to have a few new things in the mix for gamers to try out. A few new things that are only truly capable in the VR space, so it might not be something you "need" to buy the game again for, but still a feature added in to give us the "want" to buy it all again. Let us dive into what that all entails.
For starters of it all, this will give us much of the same High On Life that we have seen before now. The same story, settings, humor, and guns. The bigger difference being that the guns and UI have been modified to better fit the VR interactions and space out there. The UI makes a bit more sense, and the following video makes it look like it would have been an improvement for the flat-screen version of the game too. As it comes to the weapons in High On Life VR, they are the same and will have many of the same interactions and firing modes as before, just that we are going to have more of a creature feel to them when reloading and handling them in the game. Although using some of the other features of them, like Knifie's whip, does feel like it could have been a little disorienting in VR, so I am curious to see how that will get translated over. Along with some of the other questionable things that the studio originally was trying to break away from. The game is in a playable state, currently, so it is only a matter of time until we get those answers.
