The horrors of Cthulhu have launched more at us, with the recent launch that we have for The Mound: Omen Of Cthulhu
The time is finally here for us all to launch out on the latest expedition with The Mound: Omen Of Cthulhu. The game is officially out there on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for us to gather up our friends to see if we can survive the horrors that ACE Team and Nacon have been working on for a while now. As long as you are into the survival games with a twist of Cthulhu and Lovecraftian nightmares in the mix. Those are the nightmares that will be stalking around the haunted island we will all find ourselves on as we try to find the most glorious of treasures that can be offered out there. We are risking our sanity to do all of this, so it has to be worth it. We will certainly see now that the game has launched out there.
Just in case you missed all of the other updates for The Mound: Omen Of Cthulhu, this is a new co-op title that will have three other friends and us heading out to a cursed island in search of a legendary treasure. The issue with that is the island seems to be claimed by otherworldly entities that have different plans for us all. Especially as we are heading out there blind, in general, and will need to not only navigate the jungle, but also make sure we set up ways to survive the horrors of it all. Even more so, as The Mound: Omen Of Cthulhu will have a bit of a sanity feature in the mix where our allies could look like enemies along the way and vice versa. A nice little way to play with the madness aspect of the genre. Even if this all feels like it could be solved with an outside group chat, then that would not be playing the game in the true spirit of it all. Do you like the new setting for the Cthulhu mythos, or should it have stuck closer to the setting that we have seen many times over? Will players need to communicate in-game, or will we be able to bypass the sanity issues by talking outside of the game? How deep into the mythos will this game go, or will it just be the reason given for the various creatures we see running around the island?
