Brightfall
New gameplay for Brightfall has been pushed out there, with a new look at the isometric world of Brightfall that we will get
Light is going to be our last defense, again, with a new survival and crafting game that is on the way to the PC, with Brightfall. The latest title that Dark Point Games is cooking up for us all, and now we get to see some of it in motion. That is, we have a little bit of gameplay to look at to see if we're going to want to grab three other friends and head into the darkness that is within Brightfall. If not with friends, then maybe to head out and survive things on our own, but that's rarely a great idea for us to have out there. I guess we'll just have to let the gameplay help us to make that choice so we can see if it will be another title to keep us locked into our gaming worlds. Let's have a look at it all.
As gameplay goes, Brightfall looks to fall in line with many of the various other titles like it that we've seen over the years. We'll get to run around this Celtic-inspired island, slaying foes, gathering resources, and then building out our own little safe havens along the way. Also, we can keep on doing the same night after night, with the light that we wield being the only thing keeping us all safe. Especially, as we will have our own flame that we need to keep lit in Brightfall, and if we let it go out, then we'll see our own end. Well, more to the end of our own sanity in the game, but that can still spell a bit of a disaster out there for all involved, depending on how that all goes down. Have a little look at the gameplay that we do have, then get ready to see how the game will push onward until the Early Access of the game is fully ready.
Brightfall — Gameplay
Brightfall is an isometric open-world survival-craft for 1-4 players where light is your last defence against a living darkness. Explore a cursed Celtic island, craft powerful weapons, build a safe haven, and fight to keep your flame alive - because when it dies, your sanity follows.
Push back a living darkness in Brightfall - an isometric open-world survival-craft for up to 4 players, set on a cursed Celtic island erased from English maps. Brave the dark alone or with your friends as you:
- Customise and upgrade your character
- Explore abandoned Celtic ruins
- Build and expand your safe haven
- Vanquish powerful foes
- Craft stronger light sources to push deeper into the ever-shifting gloom.
But beware - light fades, monsters grow stronger, and even your friends can fall to madness.
Are you going to want to face off against the gloom that is coming in Brightfall? How will this one be able to stand out from all of the other isometric titles like it that also have a survival/crafting system? Do you think sanity will play a factor in how the game flows? What parts of the Celtic lore do you suspect that we're going to have throughout this one? Let's discuss all of that and more down in the comments on the page. Brightfall has a lot of potential to shake things up, so we'll be watching it. To join us in that, you can watch the site and all of our socials to see when we have something new to share out there. It should be a bit of fun to have, and you'll be glad you stuck to our glowing light over here.
