Styx: Blades Of Greed Is Giving Us A New Way To Survive The Inquisition

Styx

Styx is getting a new way to tackle all of the missions in Styx: Blades Of Greed with a New Game+ update

It has been a few months since we all had a chance to join a new heist in Styx: Blades Of Greed, and now we have a new and big update for the game. Just when you thought that Cyanide Studios might have moved on to the next big title to have Nacon publish, they drop a New Game+ update on us all. All to give us another reason to head back into Styx: Blades Of Greed to give all of the missions another try, just with all of the upgrades and abilities that we have unlocked before the end credits rolled the first time. That or to give new players another reason to keep the fun going after their first experience with this little, thieving goblin out there in the fantasy world on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

There is more to the update that is out there for Styx: Blades Of Greed, but the New Game+ is the bigger bit to look at. The rest just sounds like quality-of-life and other big fixes along the way. Although there is a listing for new things to experiment with that might be outside of the scope of the usual paths we take to complete these missions. I could be wrong, but that is what the following video indicates. No matter the case, we all do have a reason to pick up Styx: Blades Of Greed for one more go. Especially since this would fix one of the earlier issues I had with the game and the lack of direction it felt. Now, it will truly be an open world and not a weird Metroidvania of sorts, given that we will have all of our skills and abilities unlocked from the start for us to roam the areas we need them in. Since backtracking was never something I wanted in a game like this. That is just me, though.

Styx: Blades Of Greed — New Game+ Update

You’ve stolen treasures, outsmarted guards, and survived the Inquisition. Think you’ve mastered the art of being a goblin thief?

Think again.

The latest update introduces New Game+, giving you a brand-new reason to return to the shadows.

After defeating the final boss, you’ll unlock New Game+, allowing you to start a fresh adventure while keeping much of your hard-earned progression and experiment with new approaches throughout every mission.

Styx: Blades Of Greed is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Will this new update bring you back into the world of Styx, or will it only be something for those just joining in the fun now? How different will the game feel having all of the abilities from the start, and will that allow us to go down a linear path now? Will this help carry the IP out into another title, or will this be the end of the run of games out there? Let us have all of that discussion in the comment section down the page here. If we come across more updates for Styx: Blades Of Greed, know that we will have them all on the website for you.
