New horrors are coming with Agni: Village Of Calamity, as we get to see how Agni will face down the darkness in the world
The Indonesian horror scene is getting another fun display out there in the world, with the announcement for Agni: Village Of Calamity. A new title on the way to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC that Separuh Interactive is working on, with the help of Wired Productions. A title that will give us some new type of slasher to experience out there, along with fun survival-horror gameplay to go along with it. Along with Agni: Village Of Calamity brings us a little more of the world culture that so many gamers seem to lack out there. Mostly through representation and not the want to experience more of what the world has to offer in the horror line. That all said, let's have a look at just what this game will add to all of our worlds when it launches.
In the game, we play as the titular Agni, who happens to be an investigator from a secret agency out there. She doesn't play by the normal rules and allows for regret to push her to go searching for a missing partner. They just happen to be missing in a forbidden village out there. That is where things start in Agni: Village Of Calamity. Of course, things need to go sideways, and there will need to be limited resources along the way as all manner of horrors and creepy slasher characters come try to help end that whole living thing she has going on. This pushes us further into the trauma and grief that will help her push on, or give up and let the darkness win. We'll have to wait to see how that will all play out when the game is ready. For now, we have a nice little video to give us all a feel for what the game will hold, along with what we might be actually playing around with. Agni: Village Of Calamity is a cinematic survival horror, combining mind-bending terror and ritual strangeness, with Indonesian slasher-style violence.
Play as Agni, an investigator from a secret Agency, driven by regret, who disobeys the rules, as she searches for her missing partner inside the forbidden village, Desa Purba.
On this rogue mission, Agni descends deeper into violence, obsession, and psychological collapse as the guilt drives her towards the edge of what the human mind can live through.
Operating with limited resources, Agni must solve environmental puzzles and survive relentless pressure as grotesque horrors stalk her through the darkness. Every encounter is dangerous. Every bullet matters.
Inspired by Indonesian horror films, Agni: Village Of Calamity delivers a suffocating descent into trauma and grief, where reality is unstable, violence is brutal, and some truths should never be uncovered.
