Resident Evil Takes Us Behind The Scenes To See How It Is Bringing The Horror

Resident Evil

Learn a bit more about the upcoming Resident Evil movie, and see just how it will be heading back to the Resident Evil roots

We have had a solid teaser for the upcoming Resident Evil movie, and now it looks as if we get to go behind the scenes a bit more with the film as it is still getting itself settled. The film is still slated to hit theaters on September 18th, so there is still a bit of time for things to change. Although there does seem to be one element that we should not expect to change for this Resident Evil film, and that is the fact that we are getting more of the survival horror side of things than the action we have had in the past. That is not a hidden secret, as Zach Cregger has been open about it, but now we get to peek behind the curtain a little to see how that is going to be brought into this film. Let us all have a look now.

In the latest video we have for the Resident Evil movie, Mr. Cregger discusses more about what he enjoyed in the original games that he has played quite a bit before even taking on the task of making the latest film. Hence, why we are getting more of the survival horror mixed in than anything. Not to mention, it looks as if the writing for the film is placing our protagonist in a spot that many of us would be in if we were just dropped into the world of Resident Evil. Little things that I am sure we have all screamed at the screen, but if push came to shove, we would struggle with. One of the highlights here is that not everyone can pick up a gun and be a marksman with it. Adding some realism into the film, while also adding the tension-breaking humor that we all have been expecting since his last films. Have a little more of the taste of this film in the following video we have.

Are you glad to see that we are getting more of the Resident Evil horror in this film, or do you like the high-action that the films gave us in the past? Will the more grounded setting offer the correct level of tension in the mix, or will you be upset that this is not a scene-for-scene remake of any of the specific video games out there? Do you think that we will actually see Umbrella in the film, or will it just be a world where a generic biopharmaceutical company has been playing with viruses and caused all of these horrors? Let us know those thoughts in the comment section of the page here. I am still amped to see what this Resident Evil film is going to give us, and I will try to share all the little bits that we can.
