Kena
The Switch 2 will soon get a taste of Kena, as the original Kena: Bridge Of Spirits will be landing on the console this Spring
It looks like our spirit guide will be showing off the adventure on yet another platform out there, as the announcement that Kena: Bridge Of Spirits will be coming to the Switch 2 is here. This is the original title that Ember Lab made years ago, and not the new one that was announced not too long ago, just before any of you get excited that the sequel is going to have a wider release than we thought. It most likely will, but for now, we can see that the original journey that Kena went on will be available for all. At least when Spring rolls up, as there is no solid release date for this port of the game. Any time after March 21st is the only true timeline we can drop in the moment.
Given that it has been years since Kena: Bridge Of Spirits first launched out there, this is not going to be just the original game that hits the Switch 2. It will be the version that is the most up-to-date for the core game, but also bring all of the Anniversary DLC with it for the same price. This includes a lot of cosmetic items to place on Kena and friends in the game, pretty much. There will also be a New Game+ mode that will be available, too, so those who have played on other systems can play it all again on the Switch 2 with all of the things that have been unlocked. That seems like something that most of us out there will not do, unless you are a gamer who has moved to never playing at home. Then, I guess, this will be a nice feature so you can move your old saves from the other systems to the Switch 2 and play them all again.
Kena: Bridge Of Spirits — Coming To Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 version comes complete with the Anniversary DLC, which features Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits, and accessibility features. It also features New Game+ mode, which allows players who’ve completed the game to restart Kena’s journey with all of their previously unlocked abilities, including upgrades, outfits, Rot, and more, as well as redesigned and more challenging combat encounters.
Kena: Bridge Of Spirits offers players an action-adventure game that combines compelling narrative with exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat. Players untangle the past as Kena, a young Spirit Guide in search of the sacred Mountain Shrine, helping free the spirits trapped in a forgotten village with the aid of the Rot – her adorable (yet powerful) spirit companions.
Also available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam & Epic Games Store.
A story-driven action adventure with a stunning visual aesthetic combining exploration with fast-paced combat. Players find and grow a team of charming spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment. Kena: Bridge Of Spirits seamlessly blends action and narrative into an unforgettable experience. Travel with Kena, a young Spirit Guide on a quest to uncover the mysterious story surrounding the demise of the village.
Will you be giving this version of Kena's story a go, or will you be waiting for the new title to launch instead? Is it weird to have a New Game+ designed to specifically allow us to play from a different platform, or will this be a selling point that I am unaware the gaming world wants? Will the Switch players be left out when the new game drops, or will we see another slow rollout as we did with this one? Let us talk all about this down in the comments section. I know we will have more for the sequel, but it is unlikely we will have more for Kena: Bridge Of Spirits beyond the official release date on the Switch 2. When that comes, we will share it here on the website and all of our social channels. Just be sure to follow along on all of them to see it when it all drops. Do not miss out.
