Directive 8020
Meet the pilot we will follow in Directive 8020 with a new look at the character and interview with the performer bringing them to life in Directive 8020
It feels like with each new video we get for Directive 8020, we get to know more about the characters and the world. Even before Supermassive Games had to delay the release of it until May 12th. Given that it might have been a while since we first met Brianna Young, the pilot of the spaceship we will be surviving in, it might be time to get to know the character again. Who better to give us all of that information than the person who is bringing the character to life in Directive 8020? That person being Lashana Lynch, who is offering not only the voice, but the likeness and motion capture of this cinematic horror title about to land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Let us have a look at the most recent interview to better understand what we are going to be getting ourselves into with the game.
Those who have been watching Directive 8020 for a while now, you will see more of the strong female lead that is coming out here with the character. Brianna will be a confident and capable character in the game, who will also have to make a lot of very hard choices. Choices that can lead to Brianna not making it to the end. All brought to life as Lashana takes on her first motion capture role in the industry. Something that sounds like it was a daunting task, but as we see more for Directive 8020, it looks as if she nailed it perfectly. Or at least as close to perfect so the animators had very little to punch up to make it all fit the world and setting that we are going to find ourselves in. On top of learning all of that, the rest of the video dives into a bit more of the behind-the-scenes for the game, so you can watch the rest of all of that just a little bit further down the page here. Then we wait for the next interview to come up.

From the creators of Until Dawn and The Quarry – Directive 8020 is an all-new cinematic sci-fi horror adventure that blends intense survival gameplay with meaningful choices and a branching storyline.
Is it impressive to see how well things have gone down for a first-time motion capture, and was Directive 8020 a deep end to dive into for that? Will Brianna be the only fully capable character on the ship, or will they all be at the same level once we start playing the story? Is it odd to you to see the real-life person brought to life so well in games today, and will it only get better in the coming year? Let us talk about all of that and more in the comment section further down the page. There is certainly more coming for Directive 8020, so please keep an eye out for all of that soon. It will be on the website here, with notifications going out on all of our social channels. So, follow along on all of that to ensure that you do not miss a single update along the way.
