Stage Tour Is Bringing Back The Rhythm-Action Games To Us

Stage Tour

The rock gods are calling us for a Stage Tour with the latest reveal for the rhythm game Stage Tour

It is hard to believe that it has been about a decade since we had the last major and big entries into the rhythm band games out there, but it looks like they are coming back with the reveal of Stage Tour. A new title that will give us more music to play and plastic guitars to hang around the house. One that is also on the way to us from one of the teams that helped to spawn the popularity twenty years ago. I am talking about RedOctane Games. They are back and bringing the same fun that we have had for years, just in a new way with Stage Tour. A title that we can also expect this year on the PC and various consoles when all is said and done. Now that the basics are over, let us dive into the few extra bits that we have for the game at this time.

Just like the many titles like it before, Stage Tour will be a four-player title with two guitars, a drum, and vocals to play with in the game. Most of the music, from the start, leans more into the rock and metal genre, with licensing open to whoever wants to try to get their music into the game. At least, that is based on their website stating as much, and the playlist is yet to be fully set. Along with all of that, Stage Tour will have its own new set of controllers with a partnership linked into Gibson to bring us the Gibson Kramer controller, along with many in-game cosmetics to slap on our toons in the game. Many of whom already look and feel like some we have seen in Guitar Hero in the past. Now we just have to hope that they are able to make this one flow out there better than those titles that ended up bringing the genre almost to extinction out there.

A new era starts here.

Have you been hoping to see a new title like Stage Tour out there, or do you think the era of rhythm-action games has passed? Do you think that we are going to get some big names in music, or will it mostly be indie or in-house music to ensure that licensing does not ruin the game? Do you want to buy a whole new set of controllers for this, or do you think that some of the classic ones will still work for this title? Let us have it all out there in the comments to discuss. There will be more for Stage Tour, I know this, and we will be offering it all up here as best as we can. Please keep checking in with the website and all of our social channels to make sure that you are ready to rock once this one is ready to go.
