Kena
Kena is back in action, with the announcement of the sequel, Kena: Scars Of Kosmora on the way to the PS5 and PC
It looks like we are finally getting a sequel to a title that I thought was only going to be a one and done from Ember Lab, but here we are with the announcement for Kena: Scars Of Kosmora. A true sequel to the title on the way to the PS5 and PC this year that aims to bring back the action, adventure, and combat that helped win so many awards from before. Not only that, but it looks like the amazing animation and art style that Kena: Bridge Of Spirits brought to us will be back. Just with the characters and world aged up and ready to put everything we learned from before to the true test again. It truly is an amazing bit of art that was out there, and I had a feeling it was only a matter of time before we had more to experience.
At the end of the first game, Kena has become an accomplished spirit guide out there in the world. The only issue is that there is an affliction that is still plaguing her, and she needs to head off to a far-off land to try and find a cure. Doing so will allow for old friends to come back into the picture, but also allow for the corruption in the world to fracture her staff, which she needs to survive. Now, Kena must use all of the other skills and abilities to manipulate the elements to try to end this corruption, while also trying to survive with what is going on internally. All with the same puzzles and action that the IP brought us before. Just enhanced and told through an amazing lens that will blend the gameplay to cinematics as if we were watching a high-end animated film. Words truly do not do this IP justice, so please have a look at the announcement we have for the game that blends all of the gameplay and cinematics seamlessly.
Kena: Scars Of Kosmora — Announcement
Kena: Scars Of Kosmora expands the action, adventure, & combat of its award-winning predecessor as the player traverses a vibrant island filled with buried secrets, wandering spirits, epic bosses, and distinct cultures.
Kena, now an accomplished Spirit Guide, travels to the mysterious island of Kosmora seeking a cure for her affliction and to reconnect with a friend from her past. There, she is confronted by a powerful corruption that fractures her staff. Needing the staff to survive, Kena must accept Kosmora’s forgotten and dangerous form of Spirit Guiding that manipulates the elements. On her journey, Kena discovers and nurtures memorable spirit companions whose powers she will harness to solve puzzles and defeat enemies using new elemental abilities.
