Star Wars: Galactic Racer Will Be Racing Its Way Out To Us All

Star Wars

A new Star Wars racing title is on the way to us with the recent announcement for Star Wars: Galactic Racer

It does feel like it has been a good long while since we had a racing game set in the Star Wars universe. Sure, there have been a few, and other titles had racing in them, but it looks like we are getting a whole new one to give all of the racing game fans something to look at, too. A new title on the way from Fuse Games and Secret Mode for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC slated to drop in 2026. Here we have the official announcement for Star Wars: Galactic Racer to give us all that feeling again. Along with some new things added into the mix from various other titles, this one might be the current definitive racing title in this IP. For now, at least.

The details for Star Wars: Galactic Racer are still few and far between, given how recent the announcement is, but we do have a few things to pick up from it. It looks as if it is going to be set during the era of the Empire, so these are going to be closer to things like illegal street racing, just with some Sci-Fi twists to it all, and some amazing collision damage when things go sideways. We'll be able to build and customize our own vehicles to race with in solo races or in multiplayer races. If those are online, is still to be determined. Though given that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will have some form of ranking system for us to climb, these will likely have some level of online component to it all. All while letting us relive certain races from the past, and make new ones with ships that have never been thought of. As long as they can survive a few laps, and we can keep them up and running.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer — Announcement

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a runs-based, high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the lawless Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy.

The Empire’s grip on the galaxy has finally broken, and with its fall comes a new obsession: speed. As the New Republic struggles to rebuild, gambling, entertainment, and glory fuel a booming underground.

Out of this chaos, The Galactic League is born: an unsanctioned racing circuit where syndicates sponsor pilots, fortunes are won and lost in seconds, and only the bold survive.

No Force. No prophecy. Just skill, strategy, and the will to rise.

Compete In High-Stakes Races Where Every Run Is Unique

Slam, shunt, and takedown rivals across varied circuits where no two runs play the same. The greater the risk, the greater the reward.

Survive A Dangerous Underground Sport

Join The Galactic League - an unsanctioned racing circuit born in the lawless Outer Rim. Become Shade, a lone racer chasing revenge and glory.

Build And Customize Your Craft

Pilot different classes of repulsorcraft, each with distinct physics and playstyles. Build a ride that showcases your style and gives you a competitive edge.

Battle Rivals In Multiple Game Modes

Ride solo through a story-driven campaign of shifting alliances or brave strategic PvP grudge matches where reputation rides with you.

Climb The Ranks And Earn Rewards

Prove yourself through intense rivalries and escalating challenges. Every choice shapes your prospects as you build your status in The Galactic League.

Did you have a new Star Wars racing game on your BINGO card for 2026? Do you think that we will see online racing be a thing, or will it only be leaderboards to make sure we can always play this solo if we want? What iconic vehicles do you think we will see in the mix? How quickly will there be a version of Podracing in the game, and will one of the modes be the default in the game? Let's talk about those thoughts in the comment section here. I am interested to see how Star Wars: Galactic Racer shapes up, and if it will give us all that feeling we had with the past titles like. Please keep on coming back to the site to see what else we have to share for the game, as well as all of the other updates that we can flood the socials with out there.
