Directive 8020 Teases Us With Some New & Exclusive Gameplay Here

Directive 8020

A new little slice of Directive 8020 gameplay is here, and we can get a better feel for the non-dialog gameplay for Directive 8020

Even though we are not getting Directive 8020 for Halloween as originally planned, it does look as if we are getting something to take in for the game during the season and to keep us all going until 2026 when it is slated to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not that Supermassive Games wasn't already busy dropping out other titles for us during the season already, but that is a different topic. For now, we will have a look at the fun little tease that we have for Directive 8020, with some exclusive gameplay out there just in time to add some Sci-Fi horror into the season. We are still getting something, even if it is only a very small slice to clue us in on how the game will function when not just selecting dialog options to keep everyone alive.

To keep your expectations at the right level, this is a very small slice of gameplay for Directive 8020 that we have here. Mostly just our character heading into an oversized ventilation system to search for something, all while the rest of the crew locks down the ship. A great way to make sure we are not doubling back in the game, which I like. All of which shows us that we will be doing some of the heavy lifting in Directive 8020 to get characters around out there. Closer to the amazing gameplay lessons that Supermassive learned while making their last title in the same vein of games. I am sure that we will have a lot more exploring, item collecting, and various other things we will have to do in the game now. More than we have seen in the past titles in The Dark Picture Anthology, which is still supposed to be a part of. Have a quick look at the gameplay below to see that we are not just going to be watching a movie play out for this one.

Do you like that Directive 8020 will have us playing out more of the scenes in the game? Do you suspect we will have more things, like the vents sealing, in the game to explain why we can't go back? Will they use more QTEs in this game than we have seen in the others? What do you think the white rabbit is in this little scene that we do have? Squat walk your way into the comment section, and discuss all of this. We are all excited to get more for Directive 8020, even if they are little things, so be sure to come back and join us in all of that. We will keep you updated on the site and our channels, so follow along there so you don't miss a single thing.
