According to some anonymous sources with knowledge of Nintendo's Project Cafe the new HD console will go for anywhere between $350 USD and $400 USD and could be launched as early as this October. Although speculations say it could be released as late as next year to allow more consoles, software and games to be prepared for launch. I say having the console release next year would be a wise decision.
