by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of November 2021 - 08:00 PM ]
Do Not Open Do Not Open has a new update and a little more of the horrific gameplay that we might be expecting when Do Not Open launches out there The horror titles keep on coming here with Do Not Open getting a new teaser and look at how the game has progressed since we last saw it. This would be the horror title that Quasar Dynamics showed the world last year for the PS4 and PS5 whit PSVR compatibility. See how the game looks and feels like one giant escape room, it feels like that will be fitting for the hardware and all. Even with a title like Do Not Open suggesting that we should not open the doors and try to escape the area with our family in the end. Read More...

Review — A Tale Of Paper
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of October 2020 - 07:00 PM ]
A Tale Of Paper We sit down and review A Tale Of Paper. A new platformer where we take on the role of a boy of paper. Here is our review of A Tale Of Paper The indie titles keep rolling out here with A Tale Of Paper being the next one on our list for the PS4. It caught our eye not that long ago when we first saw that Open House Games was going to be able to give the game a shot with the help of the PlayStation program designed to help out smaller studios. That is not the aspect of the game we are going to go in here, though, as it is out there and we had the chance to give it a solid play playthrough here. Sit back and get ready, as here we go with our review for A Tale Of Paper so you can figure out if it will be worth your time and money. Read More...

Get Ready To Soon Take On A Tale Of Paper
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of July 2020 - 07:00 PM ]
A Tale Of Paper A new indie project, A Tale Of Paper, is coming to the PS4 and it looks like A Tale Of Paper will tell a story from an interesting perspective It might sound odd at first, but no, A Tale Of Paper is not a new title about the wonders of paperwork and filing. It does sound like that would be the case but what we have here from Open House Games looks to be a new platforming title to entice us all in and take a look at the world from a different point of view. At the end of the day, A Tale Of Paper will be an exploration title with what looks to be some platforming elements for the PS4. It might be much more than that if we want to dig deeper, though, as it shows off a new way that a sentient piece of paper might look at the world. Read More...

Do Not Open Is What Will Be Asked Of Us In This Upcoming VR Horror Title
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of June 2020 - 07:00 PM ]
Do Not Open A new VR horror title, Do Not Open, has been announced and Do Not Open aims to take us down a dark escape room bit of fun in VR next year Horror is taking another form in VR, as we have the announcement for Do Not Open coming to the PSVR hardware next year. Yes, this is going to be an exclusive right now as this is coming from Quasar Dynamics as part of the PlayStation Talent initiative after they have aided in another fun title in the past. I am all about that and possibly getting some advancement in our games and Do Not Open looks like it could do some fun for the VR realm as well. Something that feels like it was made for horror but has been relegated to various little experiences more than anything. Read More...

Insomniac Games Is Experimenting With Slow Down Bull
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Insomniac Games has announced that they are experimenting with the open development process with a new 'indie' title Slow Down Bull We've seen a bit of "open development" with other studios but it looks like Insomniac Games is giving it a go with Slow Down Bull. By open development I am talking about how some studios have been live streaming the process or conducting Google Hangouts to get gamer feedback as they move forward in the process. This is just the case for Slow Down Bull as it will consist of a team of four to five members of the Insomniac crew making this little PC title over the course of "until it is done". Not much is known for Slow Down Bull as of yet as it was just announced with nothing more than a concept of some key art but here's what we got. Read More...

It's been six years since we got the damn decent video game movie Silent Hill. Now we fans can rejoice as Silent Hill: Revelation is here. Given the down time we should expect something along the same quality correct? Well I got to check it out, so if you are on the fence about seeing it yourself, let me give you a nudge one way or another. The Story: Years after the events of Silent Hill we follow the tale of Heather and Harry Mason, or as you might remember them Sharon and Christopher Da Silva. Silent Hill: Revelations Looks Like It Will Further The Franchise Well
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of July 2012 - 09:52 PM ]
It has been a little over six years since the first Silent Hill film hit the screen and a lot of us have been clamoring for a sequel, myself included. It has been one of the best video game franchises to move over into film and at this year's San Diego Comic Con we were given a look at a bit from the sequel, Silent Hill: Revelations. You might have already noticed below that there is a video clip from what we saw, but there is another that is not included. One that is a lot creepier and features the Mannequin from the franchise. The Sandbox Narrative
by Kevin [ Monday, 3rd of August 2009 - 04:16 PM ]
There have been more open world, sandbox style adventures in recent memory than ever before. Non-linear gameplay is fully embraced and every videogame genre has felt its influence at one point or another. The ability to turn off, or flat out ignore mission objectives is a must in today's titles and the unlimited access to a living, breathing game world is embraced without reservation. How often, however, have we allowed that freedom to take the place of a well crafted and well explored story? Grand Theft Auto is usually quoted as a landmark franchise for the ability to blend an open and emergent gameplay with a dedicated and evolving storyline. Read More...
