It has been let loose that we will all be waiting an extra month for BioShock Infinite to hit the market. The new release date being March 26th 2013. The reason, to add more polish to the game before it gets released to the masses. Hasn't this been the excuse before? BioShock Infinite was originally slated to come out back in October but was pushed out and then there was silence about the game.
With the amount of polish and bug checking Irrational Games is going to be in a world of hurt if there is even one mediocre flaw in the game. Not from myself but the gaming community at large. They are now taking roughly six extra months to polish and work the kinks out so diehard fans will be expecting perfection. Personally I think that was just the PC way of saying "we found too many bugs to even think of releasing this game so we'll just state it this way so people believe it was some other part of the company wanting more time." Either way I guess it is good on the team that they are willing to acknowledge that what they had wasn't going to be worth the $50-$60 price tag and needed more time. I'd rather wait than get a pile of crap.
On a bit of good news side though, here are some new screen shots and we have a new trailer, hopefully all game play, coming with the VGAs. I do have to say that it does look as if the polish isn't going toward the visuals given what I see here.
