So this threw me for kind of a loop at Comic Con. The fourth, and possibly final, DLC character announced for Mortal Kombat is Freddy Krueger. Not the rumored Green Lantern or some other comic super hero but the master of nightmares. Not to mention the most recent incarnation of him with a few tweaks to make him a realistic fighter for the game. That means that they needed to glove each hand instead of just the one.
Below you can view the new game play trailer for Mr. Krueger which also includes both fatalities and x-ray move. I won't lie; I will most likely pick up this DLC on August 9th when it drops. He is one of my favorite horror villains and it would be interesting to see why he is wrapped up in Mortal Kombat. I mean he could easily slaughter all of them in their sleep, why go full frontal assault?
I do hope that this is not the last of the DLC ever though. It is a little time consuming on the developer's end, especially when they have other titles to be working on but it would be awesome to see the roster keep expanding. There are so many other characters they could throw in to the arena. I'd play forever in every tournament if they threw in a Hades character, either based on me or from God Of War. Just something to let you guys think about over there.
