Tickets For Blizzcon 2010 Announced

Blizzcon 2010 returns to the Anaheim Conventions center October 22nd and 23rd, and tickets are going on sale Wednesday, June 2nd at 7 pm PST and on Saturday June 5th at 10 am PST. Blizzard has learned from the past Blizzcon's the overwhelming response from the player community, and will be selling tickets in batches, to give everyone an opportunity to get in on the action. For those that remember the Failoc-alypse from last year, hopefully Blizzard will be better prepared this year. Although with so many titles in the work and hopefully new news about Diablo III (release date?) the servers may be Failoc'd once again.

For those that live under a rock, at the bottom of the ocean, Blizzcon is the convention of all things Blizzard. WarCraft, Diablo, StarCraft, whatever universe you spend most of your time in, will be represented, along with announcements, panels, demo's, and numerous other activities for the avid Blizzard player.

"BlizzCon is a unique opportunity for our players to meet one another, strengthen the friendships they've formed online, and have a great time celebrating a shared passion for gaming together with Blizzard employees," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment.

Tickets will be $150 to attend and for you folks that can't make it out to the West Coast, you can watch from the comfort of your own home for $39.95 from DirectTV. Also an Internet Multi-Channel stream from Pay-per-View will be available for purchase ($39.95 also) which will give gamers the chance to freely switch between Multiple channels, specifically dedicated to particular areas of the Blizzcon convention. Gamers that buy the DirectTV package get that and the multiple channels streams as well with no extra cost. With this being the first year with a Multi-Channel stream, hopefully we will get more coverage around the convention, and a better feel for the overall experience.

Past Alumnus of Blizzcon know that purchasing either a Ticket, DirectTV package, or Internet Stream will grace players with a World of Warcraft Pet (which will be announced later).
