Unless you are new to Metal and the internet, you have heard of Brütal Legend. How could you have not with how much PR this game is getting. It was the topic of the entire two hour infomercial for Brütal legend and all things Jack Black Video Game Awards this year, which was just the start of it all. It has been a topic at every game and "geek" convention this year. You could not have missed a single thing for it.

Much like the VGAs, Jack Black and, I'm assuming, the Brütal Legend PR team would not be out shined at another award show. If you watched last night (9/13/09) you got a glimpse of Mr. Black in cosplay as Eddie Riggs, the game's main protagonist. Muscles suit, rocker hair, ax, and all. Check the image below.

This does start to worry me about this game though. Does it really need all this PR? Is it a cover to generate sales for a game that could end up being lackluster? Usually this is the case. Or the fact that it is built up so much that consumers are expecting something that is going to melt their face and blow their minds, only to be left asking "What the hell is this?" I'm hoping all the PR is justified for this game. I do have high hopes after getting to play two versions of the demo, but so much press could harm now instead of help. We'll see I guess.
