At E3, "the worst kept secret" that Sony was holding was the PSPgo. Also that this new hand-held would be released on October 1st of this year. But, rumor has it right now, that Sony will announce an iTunes like application store at GamesCom in Germany this August.
So what does this have to do with the current PSP?
Well you will be able to download games to your PSP from this application store. Also said games and applications will go for $2 to $6. On top of that, Sony announced at E3 that the PSP developer kit would also see a price cut, but the question is, "Will developers jump onto this opportunity?"
My question is, how is Sony going to convince the people who hacked their PSP for games and applications that the PSPgo is going to be better? Well it is a good thing my PSP 3000 is not hacked. I plan on keeping it that way. At least until I give that version to my brother after I pick up the PSPgo.
More will come on these rumors as we get information. So stay tuned.
