The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Takes Us All Further Into The Pain Mill

Texas

A new map for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is on the way with the lands of Texas getting further expanded

Get ready for more pain to come at us in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game on March 28th. Another big update is on the way to us for the game as Gun Interactive is teasing us with the Mill as a new map. Not really teasing, with a new look at it all, but showing off the new part of this version of Texas as we get ready to head out killing with our murder family. Something that we will get to do more of in the new location when it lands on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Even more when we also find out that we have another Victim coming along with the new map to go hunting on.

We can all get a small taste of The Mill for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre just a little lower but the other news not in the mix is that we are getting a new Victim named Virginia who is voiced and modeled after Barbara Crampton. A horror icon for sure and deserving of being immortalized in this brutal fashion. Virginia is a grief-stricken mother who cannot get over the disappearance of her son Jesse. She is obsessed over his vanishing and refuses to believe that he could be gone. The weight of her pain is so immense she leaves behind her nursing career to move to Newt, Texas, the last location Jesse was seen… That is to give us the "why" Virginia is in the location but we do not have any of the skills and traits she will hold. Thankfully, we do not need to wait long for that to all play out.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre — A Closer Look At The Mill

Enjoy a closer look at The Mill where players will be able to scramble up multiple floors, traverse through a Ghost Town, or sneak around a dry river bed. Available March 28th.

I am glad to see that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is growing and evolving as the development shifts from developers and I hope it does not stop. Especially as we see more of the actors and actresses in the industry given another chance to make a mark on the genre we all enjoy. I do hope that we are able to keep expanding, but it does feel like there are only so many maps that can be done before we hit the limit. Texas may be massive, but the number of locations that fit the story and world of the game and IP do start to dwindle as long as we are not made to suspend too much disbelief. Unless there are plans to add in a mechanic where the Big City police will show up on this sprawling land out there. The family does need to try to keep things somewhat quiet. A daunting task given all of the Chainsaws.

Are you excited to see the lands of Texas expanded again or did you just get used to the other maps shortly ago? Do you like that we are getting horror icons creating more new characters for the game or would you want to see other characters from the IP come back in with their actors? Will there be a crossover at some point with other Victims or will that idea go quickly out of the window with how the licensing would have to go down? Head down to the comments to discuss all of that and everything else that we have for the game. There is more for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on the way, so keep on coming back here to see and hear about all of that as we get the DLC drops.
