Sker Ritual Is Now Set To Fully Let Us Descend Into Hell

Sker Ritual

The full release date for Sker Ritual is set with Sker Ritual leaving the Early Access behind next month

The Early Access is coming to an end for Sker Ritual with a full game release now set down. A release date that will culminate all that Wales Interactive has put together on the PC side of it all and ready for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version some have been waiting for. Mark the date of April 18th for when you will get this full version of Sker Ritual and be able to head out and survive the onslaught of all of the horrors on Sker Island. All by your lonesome or with the co-op option that has made this version of the IP all the rage since it first was announced out there.

If you are new for Sker Ritual, this is a spin-off of their other title Maid Of Sker. With the latter being a single-player horror experience and the prior now coming out with an online co-op version where it is more about the survival of the round instead of sneaking past all of the zombies out there. A very hard shift from one to the other, sure, but Sker Ritual is going to scratch an itch that some have with action while still giving those others the horror and darkness in the mix. All as we fight through the various maps and vanquish all of those ancient evils out there. All on our own still or with three other friends. With some fun continuity between the stories of the titles out there. That should be a blast, indeed.

Sker Ritual — Release Date

Wales Interactive has announced their round-based zombie survival FPS Sker Ritual will launch on 18 April for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A spinoff to the award-winning British horror title Maid Of Sker and developed by a core team of five, Sker Ritual contains everything from the PC Early Access version as well as a huge 1.0 update, featuring new objectives, weapons, story content, and more.

In Sker Ritual, players battle waves of vicious horrors, alone or in up to four-player co-op, as they attempt to survive the onslaught of the Quiet Ones. Shoot through hordes of enemies, collect Celtic God powers, upgrade an arsenal of steampunk weapons, and attempt to defeat the evil on Sker Island.

Sker Ritual Key Features:

  • Traverse Alone Or Rally With Friends: Battle the Quiet Ones alone or with up to three additional players in online co-op. Be warned, the hordes scale is based on the player count.
  • Four Haunting Locations To Explore: Fight your way through four maps each with their own secrets to uncover. Explore the Cursed Lands of Lavernock, Ashes of Sker Hotel, Sewers of the Dead, and Deadly Lover’s Fortress.
  • Wield The Power Of Celtic Gods: Killing enemies offers a chance to drop powerful Miracles, each offering a choice of three upgradable powers. Bound to a Celtic God, each upgrade comes with a different rarity, core attributes, and power.
  • Face Off Against Terrifying Horrors: The Quiet Ones are back and they have brought friends. Sker Island is crawling with new enemies and elites, each with their own abilities and one goal in mind, total destruction.

I have been waiting for the full release of Sker Ritual and am glad to see it is coming soon. I am not a fan of Early Access titles, as I have stated many times over, but I was a fan of Maid Of Sker as it came to the horror and setting. That one is more of my preference for video games, but Sker Ritual caught my eye so long ago and had me close to hopping into the Early Access to check it all out. Now, there are only a few more weeks and all of that content will be available on my choice of platform. It does feel like waiting was the best option and we are all going to have the best experience for it. Unless the team took the wrong lessons during the development and feedback segments of it all.

Are you ready for Sker Ritual to get its full release or have you been enjoying the Early Access up to now and will see no difference? How hard will this version be to play solo and will we truly need to play co-op to get the best version of it all? How long will it be supported out there and will we see many new updates to come after it is fully launched? Head into the comments to discuss all of that and everything else we have for the game. There is going to be more for Sker Ritual as we get closer to the launch, so please keep on checking back in for all of those updates and many others. I am sure we will not be let down by any of it.
